So if I promise to stock all the sweets you have all mentioned - do you all promise to drop by??

Which market will you be selling at noodledoodle? I am hoping it is my local one lol.
I'd also suggest trying to have some sugar free ones, for diabetics and those watching their weight.0 -
Our market has at least four sweet stalls and they all regularly have queues.
I agree, traditional sweets are a must!
And if you can get fancy little jars then you can fill them and put old fashioned style labels on them, especially around xmas.
Here a lot do takeaway style boxes of sweets, for £1, 6 for £5.
Someone mentioned wham bars - do they still exist? I've been looking for them for ages and can't find any
Oh, and how about really old fashioned ones - candy canes and the like?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Wham bars are definitely still around - although not quite as big as I remember them being as a kid!Sealed Pot Challenge No. 2860

white mice, strawberry laces, flumps, smarties and those little pink mushroom ones!
could you get some of those paper bags with the purple stripes to be really old fashioned? I think £1 or 3 for £2 would be a good idea as they are round numbers and people would think "oh I might as well get 3 then" but 50p bags would also be good for the more modest appetite or for young kids as another poster says you don't want to give young kids too many sweets.
as for the name, something with "sweet" in the title would probably be a good idea as it would relate to your stock- what about "sweet dreams" or "sweet stuff"? best of luck OP!0 -
Sweet delights!
If you go for old style sweets how about Sweet Memories0 -
Sweeties, I want sweeties now! :rotfl:
Good luck OP.0 -
Our local market does this but with smallish bags for 3 for a £.There is a stall in my town that does this. The sweets are all packaged in clear bags and the bags are all £1 each. They have so many varieties on sale (kids stuff, retro stuff as well as mints etc). I have never seen loads of people buying, but the stall has been there for a couple of years now so I assume they sell enough to make it worth it.0 -
Ooo I would!
Sweets in jars, bags of sweets, tubes of sweets. You name it.
