Definitely worth chasing: I had almost instant success with them - see my earlier post. No prevarications, no 14 days, just a cheque in the mail.
Good luck!0 -
Could you post the details for the Bank of Scotland please?0

Dont bother phoning them as they will not deal with it on the phone. You have to write to them FAO Customer Care Team.0

I redeemed my mortgage with Abbey National after approx 3.5 years.
I was charged a "Repayment fee" of £225.
I rang them today (0845 600 0346) and they advised me they would have to send a form to me for completion, on receipt of this completed form they would review my claim.
Here's hoping!
March 07 - mortgage outstanding £42,364
Overpayments of £58.27 each month & additional funds from my Neopigmy! (Moneypig!!)
No credit cards outstanding :T
No store cards outstanding :T0 -

I chased them up by email and they said they wrote to me on 19th Feb. i did not receive whatever they wrote so they are sending it again.
Out of interest - when did your mortgage with them run from and to? What were your exit fees? It looks like I have paid a redemption sealing fee of £150 plus a deeds release fee of £75 back in 2002
Was this about the same as yours?0
