The number listed for C&G takes you to Scunthorpe Mortgages.
Instead I've just used the normal C&G mortgages number 0800 028 0639, and they were very helpful - sending me a cheque for £151!
Thanks....0 -
The Nottingham Building Society Release Fee was £50 in Feb 2001 and £55 in their Feb 2002 Mortgage Fees and Charges leaflet.
We were charged £175 in October 2006.0 -

Exit fee 5 years ago was £ 100.
Had a letter + cheque for £ 99 in the post from them today.
Please note they also try to charge £ 25 for every further redemption statement after the first one. I challenged them on that and they refunded that as well, albeit with a miffed letter. :rolleyes:0 -
This one seems to have been completely overlooked so far. I had a mortgage with them upto 2002. They have since renamed / rebranded themselves as "Mortgage Trust" and these days no longer do homeowner mortgages but only specialist buy-to-let mortgages.
This not being quite straightforward, it took me a bit of effort and the help of the Mortgage Lenders Council's website to dig up all this info, but they promptly paid up to the tune of £ 50.0 -
Hi there!
Would you post the details for the Stroud & Swindon BS, please?
Cheers!

My mortgage was transferred over to the Woolwich, from the Halifax, late in February and Halifax charged us £175.00, for a "repayment Administration Fee". We originally had a ten year fixed rate mortgage with them, that started in December 1993. Although we changed to a variable rate, from May 2001, would the admin fee repayment possible be that which was in the 1993 contract, or the 2001 contract (even though the latter was treated as a deed of variation, rather than a remortgage)?
£175.00 must be the current fee, not the one entered on the table.0 -
The exit fee at the Portman BS was £55.00 in November 1998 and was still that amount when my mortgage went through in May 1999. (I've got the original documentation).
