However, it appears the OP claimed for debit interest charges from the list the bank gave him which the bank have not refunded, so no you haven't been "done" unless you can prove the debit interest was interest charged on charges alone and not your normal spending.
edited to add, I had to read the OP a few times to realise what had been done.0 -

Hi
Learning more all the time! I received my list of charges from the Coop Bank a few days ago and only realised today (having calculated my list with interest charges yesterday and thinking it was all done and dusted!) that the 6.00 amount in the fees column on my list is a Privilege subscription which has to be deducted. I cancelled this sometime in 2004 but then have found another amount for 12.00 after this time which runs for 12 consecutive months. I checked the statement I have for this time and it is a Subscription too but I don't know what for.
Does anybody who has dealt with the Coop have any idea what this may be for?
Thanks for any help

Sounds like a Privilege Premier account subscription fee - call customers services on 08457212212 to find out if its not clear on your statement. Or call into a branch.0 -
:money:
Despite being overdrawn we used the template letters and applied for our bank charges back .
With no agreement from or notice to, the Coop Bank have after 7 weeks credited our account with the amount of £3602.17.
A following letter stated they did not refund DEBIT INTEREST figures which in our case amounted to a figure of £1481.04.So from a total of £4448.53
we recieved £3602.17
Talk about win some, lose some in the same letter. :j
Just a point ....what is Debit Interest and why can't we claim them?
Thanks Martin0 -
I started a claim against the co-op and got as far as having to take them to court, but could not afford the fee immediatlely and before I got the funds together, Co-op sent me a cheque for £655.02 as opposed to the £1688.34 I requested. I have not cashed the cheque yet. What do I do now If I want the full amount. Thanks Berni.0

Cash the cheque, write back to them telling them that you accept the payment as 'part payment without prejudice' and that you will be continuing your claim for the remainder of the sum owed to you by means of the court or the financial ombudsman and start your claim

As they have paid all your charges back you have no case to chase. The interest is awarded by the court and the court would take a dim view of you turning down an offer of your full claim.0 -
we are in the process of caliming back bank charges, but on the report we were sent form the Co-Op bank, we have many charges listed as commissions. They rance from £8 to £100. What are these and can we claim these back to?
cheers
