Hi! are you a Virgin M. spy...??? I agree with you totally, though.dangeroussports wrote: »If Virginmedia go under than I'll have no telly. Why? Because there is NO way Im going to those propoganda merchant slime that is SKY0 -
Has anyone who managed to get more channels or calls etc for a reduced bill got a bill through yet?
Ours arrived 2 days ago and they only credit they have given us is for the extra channels, so instead of our bill going down to £30 a month again, it's still about £50. Hubby is going to phone tonight, but they just don't seem to know what they are doing...!

Just waited 10 mins on hold with Virgin, after 4 minute conversation got normal monthly bill dropped from £98.00 to £85. Now on VIP package which includes all channels including all the sports which I didn't have before. All the phone enhancements and when my 10 mb goes to 20 mb broadband the price stays the same.
I asked if I would need a new modem and they said most modems would not have to be changed, if there was any problem with the speed they would sort it out.
Similar to Brio although I was paying £108 as I did have sports add on and I am now also on the fixed for life £85 VIP package. So thats £27 a month saved and a better broadband speed, a V box fitted and talk unlimited for my phone. Very happy with that! :TBoots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
I had a package with telewest for £30,broadband,telephone,television,also sky sports for £22. I phoned virgin about losing sky programmes and the girl offered me 6mths.upgrade to L for free. When I received my bill the other day I had been billed £11.50 for the upgrade!!! I had to phone again and complain just waiting for my next bill to see if it has been sorted out.0

I have to admit although I sort of got a discount (Used to have M BB, M phone L TV- £42, no got XL TV, M BB, M Phone, V+ - £40)
I am worried about the price being wrong, I have my XL TV now, so hoping I dont get charged for my V+ box which isnt coming until mid April0 -
i ran at the begining of the month cuz my red button wasnt working i said " i dont mind that sky 1 has gone but there is no piont in having the new channels if my red button doesnt work " as she walked me through a set up check she said she'd look at my bill and she managed to reduce it by £10.50 for 6 months
i didnt say anything about leaving
yesterday i decided that i wanted a sky + box so i called cancelations department and advised i want to cancel cuz i want a sky + box as fed up arguing with OH re what to watch the lady advised about the v+ box(i hadnt heard of it before) that does the same its £10 per month more expensive but i have no fitting charge they are coming on monday to fit it yeah
don't hold your breath with the V+ box. I have been waiting four weeks and it was fitted yesterday but the VOD, Virgin Central, and Help&Info don't work on it. I get more on my standard box so I'm going to ring them today to say that if they can't sort it, they can have it back, and I'll get Sky!0 -
I have just managed to get the following deal:
VIP - £73.50 for 6 months then £85 (reduction of £11.50 for 6 months for the Sky issue)
Free Installation - saving £25
I also got a refund of £15 as they messed up the install of an additional v box by turning the main one off - leaving one box without channels for 12 hours
It pays to complain :T0 -
Hi,,
Can someone please help me out here,, im rather confused!!
Rang Virgin media today,,
What i had/was paying for before i rang was,,
£41.50 a month for
Starter Tv package £5.50
Blueyonder Broadband complete £25
Telephone line rental £11
This is what i was offered,,
For 12 months
My bill reduced by £10.50 a month.
Upgrade to the XL tv package.
3 for £30 deal, but i got to pay £7 on top for my broadband so its £37 a month.
An extra box installed free of charge upstairs but it will cost an extra £9.50 a month.
200 minutes of phone calls a month, including calls to mobiles. £9.00.
So my new bill will be £55.50 a month.
Is this a good deal??0 -
Erm well if you rang em to cut your bill ring em again and say you conned me into paying you more

phoned virgin media...in feb...
did have phone (11.50) and b/b 10mb for £35
they added tv (L) for £1 so £46... (people told me this wasnt a good deal) so
then i read this page and decided to phone again (retentions), they offered:
10mb B/b, Phone M, and TV L for £42.50
or 4mb b/b for £32.50
so ive taken the £42.50 deal so i'm £4 better off each month with the TV (L) package thrown in too...(I tried to get sports or V+ but he wasnt having it)
update...phoned again today
upgraded to XL for free and given V+ for £10 p/month (free install)
not bad i guess0
