Halifax - Feet Draggers?

Halifax are not auto paying. A vast majority of complaints are being upheld so they dont breach. Halifax are reviewing complaints so some will be rejected.0

Halifax paid out within 5 weeks on our CC PPI reclaim, cheque arrived without a breakdown, then last Friday we got a full breakdown of CC and our two loans we were reclaiming and offer for the two loans, 7 weeks after sending off the questionaires, they paid off the loan that was still running (had 10 months left to pay on it) and are issuing us a cheque within 28 days so 21 days now!.0

I've just been on to the Halifax for another update but all they will tell me is that my claims were aknowledged on the 2nd April. My nerves are beginning to go to pot ha ha!

We received our cheque in the post today! went straight to bank (halifax) to pay it in, the bloke spent ages looking at it, putting it under a uv light, I started to sigh, he never looked at me the whole time, I was waiting for him to ask in the end he processed it and seemed to have the right hump over doing it!!!! maybe just my imagination but I felt sour grapes!!!! I assumed paying a Halifax cheque into an Halifax account would mean automatic clearing, but apparently it wont clear now until 14th May!!!!! anyway im just pleased that I can pay off 3 credit cards, 2 catalogues, my TV and my Sofa and have just my mortgage!!!!!!0

Good for you :-) Bet it really gets on their nerves when people pay their checks in for being mis-sold.
Hope we hear something soon!

Yeah fingers crossed for you!!! What annoys me is we had been paying PPI since 2004, never knew we shouldnt be paying it!!! we tried last year to claim on it as my oh is self employed they said we couldnt because we didnt qualify as he self employed, at no point did they say, we will cancel the PPI from now on on your loan, so it serves them right that we have our money back now!!! x0

We've been paying since 2001, was told we had to have it to carry on with the mortgage application even though my hubby is self employed too. Warnings should have rang when we tried to claim in 2003 as he broke his leg but got fobbed off. We then took a further advance and got pushed into TMPP even thought we had already got life/critical illness insurance (also with the Halifax) and still paying the useless mortgage ppi. Was again told that we needed it to get the advance. Will keep you updated hopefully sooner rather than later and with a positive outcome x
