Fitting an ethernet port is surprisingly easy..... or you could go wireless using a usb socket. You asked earlier about printers, you can set them up over a network but it's not easy (in my experience) and your dad's pc would have to be on for your mum to be able to print to it. A network printer is a standalone printer which has it's own ethernet port. Very easy to set up.

Am I correct in thinking that the HP OP7210 has?

drive down any street and you can access lots of wireless networks.

most peeps dont have a clue. most vendors are useless.
so thousands/millions of wireless routers are out there with just the default admin and PW on them!
safer? give me a break please!

I said, if it is encrypted it is safer.., there are 100's of threads on here on how to encrypt, so it shouldn't be an issue for the OP.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

Glad I am getting something correct. It still has to be wired to the router though, hasn't it?
