Nanamia I had a lovely time , and got home safely. x

Sorry I didn't say Hello last night. I was very tired, and had the washing to get on, and my goodies to put away.

Am at work at the mo, but will tell you all about it this evening when I get home.

ETA. Great news about your DSIL x

Thanks. :) He's fallen asleep now, I do feel sorry for him poor thing. Yes got the Black Friday deal! :) So pleased as OH thinks its still £35 and I cant afford it! :D Hopefully you'll find an amazing bluray player deal. :D

Thankfully my Christmas spirit is returning with the help of you lot.
It's so good to see you back and feeling like posting again Rosygirl we've missed you and your updates.:(
Thank you, mine is too now, is it silly to feel really excited and happy to be welcomed back? I'm sorry, I looked back but couldn't see what happened to your DSIL, but I'm very glad that she's improving.:)

Salisbury is having a Christmas market for the first time this year, it's the opening on Thursday eve, as well as the lantern parade from the Cathedral. Just hoping that DH is back in time to go as I have no car atm .
Must get some work done now, loads of Christmas stuff to sort and stash upstairs, so at least it's 'nice' work!

  • *sending big hugs and best wishes to Rosygirl and FeistyFidget* Thank you :)

used to put reindeer antlers on my labradors ... they lasted all of 2 minutes! one year when I was about 12 I made a sleigh out of a box with tinsel and wrapping paper, attached it to the dog with reins of tinsel and she towed everyones's presents into the living room from me in the sleigh with antlers on! Priceless!

Right, I really am off now!

  • Gerogie is wonderful! one of my cats would have a stroke if I tried that as shes scared of her own shadow! but the other is into everything - drives me mad when Im wrapping - gets cat hair in the sellotape, sits on the paper when Im trying to wrap ... and the little bugg!r always chews up ribbon, so I can only put it on gifts Im giving to other people, if I put it on ours she lies under the tree quietly chomping at it - I found ribbon in the litter tray the other day! shes a monster, she keeps taking a swipe at the baubles by lieing under the tree on her back and batting them! shes a typical Naughty Tortie! but we love her

I struggled with my list this year too - theres usually books, cd's, a dvd and some sort of chocolate, Yankee candle and some Body Shop bits, but as you say, you are thinking so much about what you are giving you dont think about what you want!

Id like the new Bruno Mars cd, the Olympic Games DVD and the Jake Humphrey book
  • oh and a Starbucks gift card, my favourite treat is a Starbucks latte and I dont buy them any more as Im putting the money I would spend on them into savings ... but I love them! hubby picked one up for me as a treat yesterday and its was sooo yummy!

even made me smile after Lewis got bashed out of the race by some airhead!! which I think is why I got it!
  • I went to the Birmingham Christmas markets yesterday, which were really good. Not as big as Manchester's [I'm convinced] but they had some really nice lights up. :) It was incredibly busy though - I was a little shocked lol.

I've also given my first Christmas gift this year. I met my friend from London in Birmingham and so took her present with me. She was a little surprised lol, as she said she never really thinks about Christmas before December. Still, the next few weeks are getting really busy at work for me so I am glad all the buying is done. :)

Its not very clear online is it, I did email about the £20 voucher offer and they said no terms and conditions except for it can only be used after the holidays. (sounds too good to be true, we'll see lol) Obviously freeee would be better. :D

I got a few bits on the 3 for £10 in Asda a few days ago. (on certain xmas biscuits and boxes of choc) Got the ferrero xmas tree for MIL, Lindt bear set for my sister and the gorgous Cadburys carousel biscuit tin for meeeee. :D Going to scrap the wrapping presents plan as I dont feel very well, bed sounds much better! (as soon as OH gets in from work as he has no key grr)

hope you are feeling better! that deal for Asd@ is really good isnt it? I got the Cadbury Carousel tin of biscuits for us, one for neighbours and the Thorntons box of liquers as they are my BIL favourite, all for £10, they are £7 each! great bargain, had to make a special journey as we dont have one near us but was worth it for that and the fizzy candy canes and Cadbury coins!
  • moneysavingmumofone I sympathise too and hope hes ok! I used to get ear infections too as a child, the thing I found best was our dog used to lie beside me and put her ear next to mine! back then we were told to lie down and keep hot water bottle on it .. when my DD had one a few years ago we were told by doctor to keep her upright and apply cold compress!! (though ibuprofen worked best), so advice totally different, what do they tell you is best to do now for it?
