Could kick myself, found the gift OH has been wanting for a while now in Debenhams online almost £9 cheaper than anywhere else thought great will order that and a few other things shes asked for and tick it off the list while they have good offers on and of course the one item I need is out of stock
Anyway going to cheer myself up with a hot mug of tea and catch upLife is what you make it.0 -
I think I've finished my Christmas Present shopping, just waiting for a few things to be delivered :j
I've started my wrapping too. All DD's stuff is in the attic and I can't get stuff down from there myself, so I'll have to wait till DH has a bit of free time while DD is at school. That way he can bring the things down, I can wrap them and they can go back up till christmas eve.
DD's birthday is on 11th December, I've wrapped two wee things for her but again her birthday presents are also in the attic :cool:0 -
After much nagging from my DS we put our Christmas tree up yesterday. We didn't decorate it though. I got home from work today and my DS asked if we could at least put some lights on it, so I have said that if he does his daily chores and his homework without me having to nag him, then we can put some decorations on the tree each evening. Should have it all decorated by the weekend at this rate.
His birthday is on 13 December, and he has always associated the Christmas decorations going up with his birthday getting nearerHe loves having the decorations up for his birthday - says it makes his birthday more special than those whose birthdays are earlier in the year, as they don't have tinsel, a tree and twinkly lights for the occasion.

HELLO !!!:j:j
I had a lovely weekend. It was very tiring, but great fun.
We got very wet(mate had to change her clothes in the car, as her rain mac wasn't that waterproof). Luckily I had a spare one in the car, she could borrow.
We ate and drank far too much. We went in nearly every patisserie that we saw. When we got to the market, bf said we should have a hog roast roll. I said I couldn't eat another thing, for her to tell me I actually hadn't eaten anything.:rotfl: We had just not stopped talking or looking at food.
Everyone was very friendly. Some of the stalls were beautiful,
some were very expensive, and some were just very ...nothing. Does that make sense ? I can't really describe them. I don't know how they expected to sell anything.
We actually left very early Sunday morning and came back to Ipswich, to do some more shopping.
The hotel room was so hot it was hard to sleep in it.
I was glad we did, as I don't think I would have wanted to drive all the way home Sunday evening.
Ipswich had their light switch on at 5, but we left just before, as neither of us could face the massive traffic jams, staying would have put us in.
I bought 2 scarves in H&M, 3 cardigans in Top Shop, Pj bottoms in Primark, and lots of trees for my forest at the market.
( This forest is costing a fortune )
Sorry for being a poop, but I didn't enjoy Nativity 2.:(
It was very funny in places, but I enjoyed 1 a lot more.
Am hoping to take DD to see Rise of the Guardians next weekend.
On a different subject, I spoke to a PTA lady today about the bazaar, and it seems that I am the only stall that is not a business.:eek:
All the stalls are £25, but she said I could have it cheaper, as I am doing it on my own.
I am a little worried now. I have no idea what the other stalls are selling. My stuff may be completely out of place. She has seen some of it, so she must think it will be Ok, but still :eek:
It has just started pouring with rain here, just to make a change.:mad:0 -
I thought I ought to get my act together and make some things to sell on saturday. i spent all yesterday making ES mint Christmas puddings and snowflakes, Santa stop here door hangers, flannel cupcake and flannel yule logs and colouring the images for my cards. I have also started my cones of gold. I will finish my cards tomorrow evening.
I am afraid I couldn't catch up on all yesterdays and todays posts and had to skim read. did I read that someone's birthday is on 16 December?
I had a few scary moments driving today through floods. i cant believe it has been raining all day and is still rainingsaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

I was going to go to the Bury Christmas fayre on Saturday, but decided to give it a miss due to the weather. It would have been a 2 hour drive each way. Would you recommend it OMO? If so, I might book into a local Travelodge and go next year.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
