Amey I'm feeling really quite jealous about your 'meet' on Wednesday! We should all have badges or possibly Rudolph noses as identification
Linky I'm glad you had such a great weekend. It sounds like you really did have fun, I'm glad you so deserve it. Back to the grindstone now, happy crafting.
Aliaslotte I'm popping off to have a little look at the book people. I can't resist books for my DGDsAlready have loads for them both. Think when we go to Oz in January I might have to have an extra suitcase!
Louise I love Rapunzels tower:) Oh I remember those days.
DSiL making even more improvements todayThey even tried to remove the ventilator , although it seems she's not quite ready for that. But she soon will be:) Looking forward to tomorrow's visit. X
Moneysavingmumofone where are you? I hope you are feeling ok. I kno you didn't feel so good yesterday evening. I hope you've not come down with anything nasty, and that your DS is feeling better todayxxx
Snugglebunny you are unusually quiet too! Hope you are ok xxxThe secret of Christmas

Louise How much are you making of each thing ? It is one of the things that is worrying me. Don't want to end up with lots over, but also don't want to take too little.
Not too many really, I just got carried away with the keyrings because I kept thinking of more names. I used ones from friends/family so I can always give some away as Xmas gifts as well
For lower cost items like snowman poop I'm making about 25. Les of the bigger items, 20 knitted stockings so far (my mum just keeps handing me more of them!)only got 18 snowman soups...cos that's how many a tin made. I am happy to take orders from people, so I'm not worried about not having enough of anything.
If I get orders...Do you think it would be rude to ask for payment when ordering? I would hate to waste time making things and people change their minds or something. I got free business cards so I intend to hand out my name/number to anyone who places an order (I'm being really optimistic, aren't I?) :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. No I don't think it is rude asking for payment with orders. I would do the same.
I am going to print off some cards with my details on, so we can be optimistic together. :rotfl:0 -

We are going again next year. Dd didn't come as she thought she would be bored, and I think she may have been. But she is 15 and bored with everything at the moment.:rotfl:
There was a lot of food stalls, and some of the main stalls were quit dear. The smaller stalls were a lot nicer.
The shops are really sweet and quaint.
Parking was £2.20 for the whole day, and easy to get to.
I did get my Dad a plaque for his kitchen. There are 6 of us including my step-siblings, and there is nearly always one of us there.
The plaque reads-
Everyone makes this house a nicer place to be.
Some when they enter,
And some when they leave.
:rotfl:
Also got this planter for £5:j:j

I cross stitched something similar for my DH a couple of years ago. It reads 'everyone brings joy into this house. Some when they enter, others when they leave'. Always makes me smile...:D
Spent all afternoon wrapping presents. Only a few more to do now. Might have to offer my wrapping services to friends who aren't so keen. :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Please has anybody got a reliable gingerbread man in a jar recipe? I tried this out from the Good food mag http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1840651/gingerbread-gift-jars and, as one reviewer said, there was nowhere near enough flour in the recipe. I added quite a bit more but didn't measure how much more:mad: but the taste was lovely.
I have flicked through this thread but there's so many blooming pages!0 -
Morning all you Christmassy people!
I think I may start some wrapping today...have been trying to wait until December but it's close enough! It's a diversion tactic because what I really need to be doing is finishing making my wedding invitations. Ergh I am just not crafty and it is not something I enjoy at all!
I second the requests for people who have trees up already to post pics! :j I am excited for the weekend, when I will be putting up all my decs apart from the tree. We will buy a tree on the 8th when OH is back from the US where he is going on business. So I want to see yours! :T0
