Back from family dinner at my sisters today. So many houses we drove past had lights in the windows and trees up!
Went into Aldi before sisters to have a look at their Christmas toilet roll and kitchen roll. O/h was not keen on me buying it. It was really cheap price (£1.59 for 2 kitchen rolls and £1.99 for 4 toilet rolls) and had reindeer and baubles on, couldn't work out why it seemed to have a fox on?
Anyway we ended up not getting any(think I live with the grinch)

Welcome back Rosygirl. Thanks for the offer to Pm, I may do that. Xxx
We watched Fred Claus tonight. And ate the chocolate brownies we made earlier, it was a nice evening.
The kids are all in bed, so I'm going to make a cuppa and get painting more wooden decorations. X:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
He has been very grinchy last few nights, when I was getting the snowman soup together and wrapping it all in cellophane he was saying he hopes people appreciate the effort I have gone to with everything but he doesn't think they will. I suppose I would be upset if they didn't but what can you do. I love making things and being crafty so that is part of the fun for me. especially since I can only work part time now, need to have something to keep me occupied.
Weirdly he wanted the kitchen roll but not the toilet roll. Maybe sometimes you can go too far? Normally I would have said yes I'm having it and thrown it in, Think it was more my decision not to get as I just can't associate foxes with Christmas.13 projects in 2013 0/130 -
I gave dh my christmas list today, he asked me to do one as he's no idea what to get me for christmas or my bday on weds. This shocked me as usually he just buys me the "normal" gifts, perfume, undies etc. I actually struggled to think of anything i want, so my list consisted of undies, perfume & a new purse. He took one look at it & said "why do i even bother trying to change things, there must be something you want" ive told him i will have a think & try again tonight. I honestly cant think of anything, does everyone have this problem? for me, christmas is about giving, not receiving, but as i have the oppertunity to get spoilt a little i want to make most of it. What are the rest of you asking for???
:rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

Im shocked too! Any other year she'd run a mile but this year shes really into all of "christmas" so far! She waits by the cupboard where I keep the wee scarf when we go out and expects us to put it on her first thing in the morning and as soon as we get back in! I even caught her sticking her whole head right into a stocking!! Shes not so well behaved when it comes to ribbon though dont know how many times Ive had to tell her to leave the presents alone and its only been out 1 day lolLife is what you make it.0 -

I struggle too.
for my birthday I asked him for bra and pants - ok so they were Ann Summ3rs ones not BHS. But to me they are a treat. I'd never spend that sort of money on myself (and of course he was most disapointed by the result :rotfl:)
Is there a TV series you like??? I'm not normally a 'watch things more then once' person but I ask for things like "secret diary of a call girl", latest "south park", "outnumbered" box sets.
I'll be putting the new "Jesus Christ Superstar" on mine this year as I won't spend the £13 on it myself.
I love the London Bag in Debenhams but again I'd not spend the money on it myself.
I actually put "Bubble Bath" on my list. I love the nice flavoured £2-£3 bottles but again if it's an everyday item I won't pay more then about £1.
So while to them it is silly little things to me it's actually a treat.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I racked my brain for ages especially as for my birthday I got the one thing I wanted: a kindle.
the only 2 things I could think of off the top of my head were...
.... the naked testimonial calendar of a player from the rugby team we support. I got another players last Christmas.
The next two series on dvd of a tv show we watch, that I already have the first 5 series of.
Then when I couldn't think of anything any more I was flicking through the only magazine I buy now and realised that I could ask for a subscription to that as then I won't miss it in the shops and it would come in the post.
Thats it. Now my mum is asking what I want and I don't know what to tell her.13 projects in 2013 0/130
