Thats the one I used too. Ended up adding 50g unsalted butter and some hot chocolate powder and put back in the fridge for about an hour and is PERFECT :T Have them all rolled and in little bun cases made about 40 in that batch now back in the fridge to finish off ready to take to work tomorrow :D

Have tried a white chocolate batch as well, will need to add icing sugar or something as its not setting as well. Happy to leave these overnight though to see if that happens (in no rush to mess up my hands again rolling them out lol) How has yours turned out?

Very sticky, and hard to roll. I wonder if thats normal? I was planning on rolling then coating in cocoa powder....but then got sidetracked by Fred Claus!

By sticking do you mean a bit gooey? Mine was like that until I added the butter it would of been impossible to roll without it. I used a teaspoon worth at a time, rolled in my hands (got very messy after a dozen or so, so kept washing hands and it made it easier to roll) and then rolled in shredded chocolate. They are yum, still a bit gooey but edible, hoping by putting them in the fridge for another few hours will help, def coating them in the chocolate has made it far easier to pick up problem is Im on a diet so shouldnt be picking any up ;) haha

this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk
  • autumngirl-I've been thinking the same about Poundland, their Halloween and Christmas things have been fantastic his year! :)

Nanamia-So lovely to read that your DSIL is getting better, she can obviously sense the love you all have for her. You sound like you have a lovely family. :)

snugglebunny8-I hate packaging up things to post too! Something very tedious about it!

RosyGirl-Welcome back, lovely to see you 'here' :) Must have been so very hard going though your mums christmas things but so lovely to have some of her christmas spirit with you always. x

Betsie2010-Fred Claus is the perfect antidote to feeling down! Love that film! Hope its perked you up. xxx

LalaGoMay-I am planning on tinselling the sh*t out of my whole flat at the weekend, I will be sure to put up pics of every room. :D I am striving to be known as the crazy christmas lady. :D

littlemschatabox-Id like to know if anyone knows anything about the Ikea christmas tree deal too, Im worried Ill turn up and go to the wrong place and miss out lol!

My poor DS has got another ear infection, the third in the past few months! So we have a christmas film on and he has a nice hot water bottle and hot chocolate! Finally settled on what to get one of my sisters, she was here today and liked my retro kitchen clock/timer so after flitting from idea to idea in the past few months Ive decided on one of those. Might make her a mini pamper bag too with mini Baileys, choc, face mask and nail varnish in and one for her friend but put a candle in her friends too as she likes candles. Her friend doesnt have much family and is having a bit of a tough time so would like to cheer her up. Hmm then again I could make a movie hamper to include her DD, DS and BF. Will have to have a think. :)
Going to wrap a few more presents tonight, am definitely going to wrap OHS Harry Potter boxset before he finds it! Going to get all hamper contents together too as Ive completely lost track of whats going in whos hamper. :rotfl:

moneysavingmumofone hope your DS feels better soon. Sounds like he's having a nice treat to cheer him up. :)

Did you get the BF Harry Potter Bluray set? I got that but now I've got to to get the bluray player to go with it. DS1 can use his Playstation but we don't have one downstairs. A bit backwards I think! :rotfl:
