Quick question for those who have made chocolate truffles - How long did you leave it to set? Mine have been in the fridge for 3 and a half hours so far and tried to make my first truffle of the batch but its far too gooey yet and wont even form a ball so have put it back in the fridge but is this normal? any tips?Life is what you make it.0

Glad you are having fun Linky
So pleased to see you posting Nic you've had such a very difficult week.
Pinknfluffy ooooh you tiger. Go girl.
Not had much time for Christmas prep today but hoping to turn that around. On the plus side my DSiL has made some improvements today, the sleeping beauty is now awake and no longer sedated:) She's still really poorly on intensive care being ventilated but is finally going in the right direction. She means so much to me it's such a relief:) xxx
That's wonderful news, I'm so glad to hear it xxHobnobs are like marines0 -

Just wanted to say.....if you're looking to cancel your subscription on receipt of your first boxes, did you change your account settings to receive a box only every 12 weeks, to buy you enough time to cancel? Apparently they can be very quick to take more money and dispatch the 2nd box so I don't want to be caught out. I'm sure they're nice chocs but they won't be £20 a box nice!
Thanks for the info ive changed my settings to every 12 weeks. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I have a silly dilemma , both my eldest DS's have new girlfriends. Now if I had known them longer (actually not met one of them yet) I would of got them god awful christmas jumpers like I get most (starting to become a pinksteps family tradition). Now one girl is very slim as in ill slim the other is like me and slightly rounder, so I don't want to insult the poor things by getting wrong sizes. So I'm stuck really, especially as I don't want to spend loads and make them feel awkward but I want to recognise them somehow. I can't even find and nail sets or hand warmer type things. What is primani like for gifts, if any?0

hope everyone in Devon/Cornwall is safe and dry
Nanamia am so pleased to hear of your DSIL making good progress, that's great news!
I too changed my settings to 12 weeks on HC, as they do dispatch quite early for the next box and ive been caught out before, the chocolates are wonderful but not £20+ worth of wonderful!! Lucky we have a couple of their shops around our area so hubby kindly picks me up the littel 6 packs of whisky truffles which are jsut to die for and at £2.95 are more palatable on my purse too!
am wrapping presents and writing cards that need posting, my least favourite job of Christmas is packaging up gifts for posting, endlessly wrapping cellotape round padded envelopes and taping on new addresses ... maybe next year I should splash out on new padded bags so I dont have to do all that, but cant bear to see them wasted!0
