ONE MONTH TODAY! So excited :D

I am currently sat in a nice hotel room surrounded by Christmas magazines :j it was OH's 40th birthday this week and I treated him to a weekend away in a spa hotel, he is off getting a men's facial and a massage and I stocked up on magazines to amuse myself :) bliss!

So, it's stir up Sunday! Anyone making their pud today?

We have decided to hold off putting the decs up for 24 hrs cos hubby wants to help.
Ive sold a few bits on eBay so once the last one has paid i will order dds ''witches brew'' mug for the Christmas eve hamper.

The topcashback for the chocs has tracked twice for a total of £16-16 as its double cashback for new members until dec 3rd if you click a link , they are paying us just over £7 to have the chocs that's not including the £15 i will get for referring him.

Did anyone order the BOGOF annuals from WH Smith's to be collected from store ? they are very slow has anyone been able to collect theirs?

We won't be able to get a tree until the 8th this year, but my sister is coming to spend the weekend with me next weekend, we are going to watch Christmas movies and go to see the new Nativity at the cinema, and I think I might sneakily get out all the other decorations :D no reason why they can't come out just because there's no tree yet!:T

ahhh you see - I make sure they are in the celler so i can get to them :D Thought he'd killed the tree (a pre-lit one) as celler tends to get rather damp when it rains heavy and every time I move it off the floor he puts it back again. Box was mouldy and horrible.............but it seems to have survived.

Have bought a new plastic tree bag (which fits TONS in) this year as commisionned the old one for outside toys earlier in the year as you couldn't buy them in June.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Hi elfies

Had a reasonable day yesterday, got a couple of nice things in The Range, lovely Nordic style table runner, hessian and red trim with Reindeer's embroidered on each end and a nice Xmas card holder. Intended to get loads of other bits, but the rain was torrential, and wanted to get back before it wasn't an option anymore. Our town is now an island, no way in or out, hopefully the weather they forcast later isn't too bad.

Have started to have minor panic attacks, as apart from the kids, and an odd pressie, have not got anything for anyone else!

Have spent the morning making truffels to try to calm the rising panic!

Hope everyone else is safe, warm and dry x

Hope everyone is surviving the rain. It has been pouring down here as well but since we are 80m above sea level, we are lucky that it won't flood. I hate seeing all the ruined homes on the news, especially so close to Christmas :(:(

Hubby has taken the kids to his mums for lunch. I have stayed behind to 'do the ironing' but no one can blame me if I take a wee half hour for a bacon roll, a cuppa and a browse of the Christmas page can they? :D

Our tree can't go up till the 10th, mainly because I am busy in December right up till then, so I might end up doing the majority of the decs while the kids are at school and let them do some tree baubles and the angel when they get in.

The only thing I am dreading.....and keep putting off...is writing out the Xmas cards. It's the only part of Christmas I really don't like doing :(

I've just signed up to the Choc Tasting Club this morning after seeing it mentioned on MSE loads over the years. I figure pre-Christmas is a good time to go for it!

Just wanted to say.....if you're looking to cancel your subscription on receipt of your first boxes, did you change your account settings to receive a box only every 12 weeks, to buy you enough time to cancel? Apparently they can be very quick to take more money and dispatch the 2nd box so I don't want to be caught out. I'm sure they're nice chocs but they won't be £20 a box nice!
