Aww thanks for letting me know its appreciated! I decided to get a paper amazon voucher in the end and a puzzle maze off ebay to put it in! Its a shame it didnt wrk as I was buying some jeans and was happy to buy £5 on the card and then knock it off the jeans but hey ho, things happen for a reason!

Now a not xmas dilemma my lovely two week old is so unsettled at night, up from around 9 until 3-4 completely awake, she wants to be fed lots and sometimes likes the dummy for a short while but is really cranky the rest of the time and I just don't know what to do - she's an angel in the day! Just cant believe how awake she is!
Do you think she has day and night confused? Maybe try and have total dark and quiet at all times at night although I know then it would be hard for you not to drop off lol! Hope you get lots of lovely sleep soon, it feels like you'll never sleep again sometimes doesnt it! My DS still rarely sleeps through and he's 7 1/2 years old so Im still waiting for my sleep. :rotfl:

I think she has but she doesn't give in! I keep the room dark when feeding her (lowest setting on touch lamp) or Landing light on with door only half open. I try not to stimulate her. Tonight when her feeds due at 6-7 I'm going to take her upstairs, massage some lotion in, put her sleep suit on, bottle and then cot. She needs to associate dark and cot with sleeping! I will let her cry it out if needs be but go on every 10 mins to reassure her she's not alone. My eldest is 6 and she was every 4 hours until 3 months when she slept through so this is a tiring culture shock!

I know what you mean about people who often dont care what they give people for christmas. This year im afraid to say some of those in my & OH life is getting some of this back.

Last year my OH got s gift from his brother. Who knows full well he could use the product (According to MIL ) Neither of them can, So OH kindly said thanks for it, But he wouldnt be using it because of this. Which triggered off a huge "man fit" from OH brother who complained that it took him ages to find it and that it has cost him a fortune & all that, For OH to see it was infact a poundl*and make, And cost £0.99p!

The price and place the items are brought from doesn't matter to most people, But just not caring or even taking the time to care does!!! Families ay!!
    Future goals:
    Become debt free.
    Beat Depression.
    Be happy & healthy
  • Snugglebunny8-Aw how lovely of your DD, it is the fact that they remembered you liked something and thought of you isnt it. :)

Morning, I really miss this thread, I've not been on for a couple of weeks. I've lost all Christmas spirit.

Sadly I lost my beautiful Mum last Thursday. She had cancer and had battled for over a year, but we thought she would see Christmas and my sister new baby due Feb. but this last bit defeated her :(
She is now pain free, but I miss her so much. We are about to drive over 200miles for her funeral tomorrow.
Not sure if you remember, but my Grampa also died just a month ago. I feel for my poor Dad, losing his Dad and wife within a month :(

My Mum loved Christmas and gave me and my sisters fantastic Christmas memories and traditions. I want to pass these on to my own kids. So I know I'll get my Christmas spirit back, as that's what she would of wanted.
I'll be back on once I get through this hard time.

This thread always cheers me up x
So very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family xxxxx
