Hi breaking dawn was brill. Girls loved their pre Xmas boxes, youngest opened hers knew she couldn't wait so she was dancing round her house in her reindeer onsie, I'm sure that's all she will wear now. Eldest has saved hers to open with her boyfriend when he gets back from abroad. Didn't get to the lights switch on oh was on call and I didn't fancy it on my own. About polly pockets mine loved them and played with them for years, we found some in the cupboard in the summer having a clear out and me and youngest spent an hour playing with them and she is going to be 21 soon. We put them back couldn't get rid of them.0

hi all!
feeling slightly deflated today as some of our family now not able to meet up when we had hoped, they are talking about New Yeartrouble is ive got lovely gifts for their 3 DD's which I put loads of thought into, and I want them to have them to open Christmas morning, I dont want them to get given in January!
or to sit under my tree unopened a week after Christmas, is that just me being silly? sort of feel like they arent so bothered and I went to so much effort, but then I guess that was my choice to do that and Christmas doesnt mean as much to everyone so I shouldnt expect everyone to get so into it!
whoa about X Factor!! blimey! what a shocker - we were watchng the F1 (yay Lewis!!) and taped it, only knew when Twitter went mad! little bit of me slightly cynical adn wondering if that was a kick up the bum to make more people vote next week? such a shame Ella went, shes so talented
Did a little more Christmas stuff today, I picked up Arthur Christmas in S'burys with my shopping, as I had £8 off £40 shop, also got my brandy butter and some sweet chilli crackers to go with the chilli and jalepeno cheese we have at Christmas
They had a few offers on end of toy aisle, a Thomas The Tank Engine mat of Sodor, with a little metal Thomas to go round it, was £10 down to £3, great for my nephew who is 3 to go with the hat, mittens and scarf set (also Thomas)

If they can't make it til the New Year, it really can't be helped. It doesn't mean they'll appreciate your effort and presents any less, in fact, they might actually appreciate them more receiving them late. Children can get so many gifts on Christmas Day they feel overwhelmed and don't have the time to truly appreciate a gift as there are more to open. For my nephews Christmas day has become "open all our pressies quickly so we can get to church, visit 2 nanas and get back for lunch!"
Try to turn them into New Year pressies, maybe adapt the gift wrap or add a New Year message to the tag.0 -
