  • Hi all, I am about 8 pages behind so I still need to catch up, so I apologise if i've missed anything big and don't comment on it yet!

I'm posting now as I need to help from you lovely elves and elfettes, i've just drawn my first Secret Santa name of the year (I am in 3 Secret Santas this year!) and I have a lady that I don't know too well. She is in her 40's and quite girly, so I was thinking about making a very mini pamper hamper. The problem I have is that the limit is £5, so I obviously cant' get much! Do you have any ideas or know of any bargains I can pick up?? :xmassmile

Head on over to the freebie board perfume samples seem to come up often :D

    hello all.

    Progress since my last update.

Just spent £65 (EEK!!!!!) in the Range on lights for our new tree and window, tinsel, icicle decs and 2 advent calendars (one's a truck and one's a Santa both wooden with doors) Going to buy some more baubles one day from one of the cheap/pound shops. Decided on a blue and silver theme (maybe with white thrown in too)!

Thats the same colour theme as me, last year I got my tree decs in Sainsburys when they did a 3 for 2. I have navy, a lightish blue, teal, white and silver. They came in a variety of mate, shiny & glittery. I LOVE GLITTER!!
    hi all!

feeling slightly deflated today as some of our family now not able to meet up when we had hoped, they are talking about New Year
:( trouble is ive got lovely gifts for their 3 DD's which I put loads of thought into, and I want them to have them to open Christmas morning, I dont want them to get given in January! :( or to sit under my tree unopened a week after Christmas, is that just me being silly? sort of feel like they arent so bothered and I went to so much effort, but then I guess that was my choice to do that and Christmas doesnt mean as much to everyone so I shouldnt expect everyone to get so into it! :(

whoa about X Factor!! blimey! what a shocker - we were watchng the F1 (yay Lewis!!) and taped it, only knew when Twitter went mad! little bit of me slightly cynical adn wondering if that was a kick up the bum to make more people vote next week? such a shame Ella went, shes so talented)

Im hoping Ferrari pay a 'lesser' team to crash Vettel off the track next week so he doesnt win. Terrible thing to say I know but Ive had enough of him!
As I had Ella, she was getting to sure of herself for me! LOVE James & Jarmaine!!

  • All you fabulous knitters on here do you have a book or tutorials for teaching you how to knit. I want to have a go again. When I was a child my great gran and my gran tried to teach me. Sadly they are no longer here. No other knitters in the family to ask. I am also left handed:eek: They tried but my tension is always too tight and I end up not able to get the needles through the stitch.

Any help would be appreciated, many thanks.;)
