Hi all my fellow christmas nutters!

Glad to here everyone is doing well on the presents and wrapping front! Loving all the home made gifts, wish I were that clever!!

Just wanted to let you know that baby Mali was born yesterday afternoon! Nearly two weeks early, she is gorgeous (I may be biased!) and we love her loads! Now we have one dd birthday the 8th of nov and the other the 9th oops lol! It's my birthday tomorrow too, so this is always going to be a mad time of the year!

Come on baby Levan, I think your the last baby due this side of Christmas!

    Congratulation !

I have always been fascinated how so many siblings have birthdays close together .
Both of mine were due in the same week in Aug, but they were both premature. Ds was born the middle of June and dd the middle of July.

My cousin's 4 all have birthdays in Aug, and one of my friends had her 3 all in Jan.

Not feeling too well today so I've sent my mum on "operation half price choccy" from lid1. Lucky she lives just up the road from there. Don't think she was impressed when she asked how many bars and I told her to take her shopping trolley lol

Hope you feel better soon xxxxxxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
Noodles86 - Such wonderful news and Mali is such a pretty name. Congratulations to you all! :)

Own My Own - have you seen the packs of little M&S gingerbread men with jazzie trousers? (Their legs and waist are covered in those little hundreds & thousands type things which are used to make those chocolate "jazzies" sweets so it looks like they're wearing multi-coloured trousers). I wonder what your chocolate men would look like decorated with trousers :)

I'm feeling really xmassy today, contemplating making some sliders today, I'm so inspired by you guys on here, and pre-kids always enjoyed making things, but with working and the kids never seem to get much time for me. Have now decided that this is going to be something for me, so am going to start crafting, am going to learn to knit (well I can knit, but can't cast on and off - my granny used to do that bit for me!) and starting making things for friends and family.

So thank you guys for the push I needed :T

Am going to make my dad a hamper for Xmas, he hasn't been well this year and has had to cut out all his favourite things, so the salty food and alcoholic drink we normally gift him at Xmas is off the list. Have decided to get him one of those books "from me to you" I think they are called and ask him to give it me next year, a pint of socks and then "something else" just haven't decided what yet.

    Just a quick thought.

To everyone doing the Polar Express Santa Bell. You do realise that you will not be able to tell the littles ones to stop ringing it, as you can't actually hear it.

You may need to come up with a plan. I know for a fact that as a child, if my ds thought he could make loads of noise without being asked to stop he would ring it all day.

  • Awww congratulations noodles86, what a lovely Christmas gift!

I am loving all the ideas on this thread, the choc coins on the wrapping look fantastic (not sure my 3 ds would stop long enough to appreciate the wrapping!)

I am doing elves again this year & love the idea of the polar express bell so one elf activity will be a polar express evening. I have printed out round trip tickets from the film (will get dh to laminate) the elves will leave these along with instructions to dress in pjs, provide hot chocolate & treats & I am making each child a polar express bell. I can't wait :D

Am re-reading 12 days of Christmas & another favourite of mine is the xmas factor by Annie sanders, its soo xmassy especially towards the end!

    Happy Christmas prepping everyone:j

Oo, where did you get the Polar Express print outs? We're off on the "real" Polar Express in December but you collect your tickets so this would be perfect to give the kids. :o
