  • HI all,
I have caught up on posts. Lots going on! I love how some have wrapped their presents already. I too love present wrapping but last year left it late and didn't have time to wrap them 'specially'. Must start earlier this year!

I'm on the hunt for an elf. A 'friend' on faceb**k makes elf doors which I'm considering. However, the elves are quite pricey. Has anyone got any tips for where to get one please?

    Xmas Saver!
Nanamia Where are you hiding ?

    You haven't said Goodnight !

Made my coffee slider and seed sliders tonight, ready for the pictures tomorrow.

I bought some Lindt Chocolate bars today to make some sliders in the morning with.
    I got
70% Choc which I am naming- I love you more than Chocolate ( well nearly)
Chilli which I am naming -HOT STUFF and
Sea salt which I am naming - You're the SALT of the earth.

I only got 1 bar of each as they are nearly £2 a bar. If I get any interest I will get some more.

Need to make some more chocolate men, and chocolate candy stirrers as dd and her friends ate them all. So am going to Lidls to stock up in the morning, as the chocolate I used is half price tomorrow.
  • All sorted for our trip to Brummie tomorrow :) got some good deals from Mr T for us to eat on the train down and back, including 8 cans of Pepsi Max for £1.99! Very MSE :) prices on the train are ridiculous!!! Made a pile of rolls using the pack of 12 every day value rolls, only 35p, although when I got home i noticed on the receipt that the cashier has charged me for 3 packs of rolls instead of the 2 i did get, so not too happy, but I wont be able to go back in until Monday, and I dont think its worth all the hassle for 35p!!! Off to bed now, early start tomorrow! Hope the train has wifi!!
  • Hi all my fellow christmas nutters!

Glad to here everyone is doing well on the presents and wrapping front! Loving all the home made gifts, wish I were that clever!!

Just wanted to let you know that baby Mali was born yesterday afternoon! Nearly two weeks early, she is gorgeous (I may be biased!) and we love her loads! Now we have one dd birthday the 8th of nov and the other the 9th oops lol! It's my birthday tomorrow too, so this is always going to be a mad time of the year!

Come on baby Levan, I think your the last baby due this side of Christmas!

  • Awww congratulations noodles86, what a lovely Christmas gift!

I am loving all the ideas on this thread, the choc coins on the wrapping look fantastic (not sure my 3 ds would stop long enough to appreciate the wrapping!)

I am doing elves again this year & love the idea of the polar express bell so one elf activity will be a polar express evening. I have printed out round trip tickets from the film (will get dh to laminate) the elves will leave these along with instructions to dress in pjs, provide hot chocolate & treats & I am making each child a polar express bell. I can't wait :D

Am re-reading 12 days of Christmas & another favourite of mine is the xmas factor by Annie sanders, its soo xmassy especially towards the end!

    Happy Christmas prepping everyone:j
  • Not feeling too well today so I've sent my mum on "operation half price choccy" from lid1. Lucky she lives just up the road from there. Don't think she was impressed when she asked how many bars and I told her to take her shopping trolley lol
  • Don't go telling my hubby ogglydoggly as he will think he would have been the one to give me the gift and wouldn't actually bother getting me a Christmas pressie lol! X

Oooh that reminds me about the Mary Berry Christmas Cake packs. I bought about ten of the cupcake ones last year, my friends and family couldn't get enough of them! Hope they bring them out again this year!
I emailed Marry Berry and asked if anyone was stocking these this year, as really loved the cupcakes, but sadly not doing any this year :(
