Thank you so much for this. I've not wanted to ask where everyone got their cello from so I didn't look dumb!

I'm doing two hampers for the first time, largely from the inspiration from this thread. One's for my student son (20) & one for my mechanic son (21) Keeping an eye out for things to put into them is keeping me quite entertained really. :)

    Thanks for all the ideas

dont worry you wont look daft, cellophane from hobbycraft/ebay and some people get theirs from florists.

Hello all! My house is smelling very much like christmas as i've just made a second christmas cake to make into mini cakes for gifts. And yesterday i made some chutney for gifts. Its my first year making chutney so i'm hoping it tastes good.
I went out this morning and bought the last 6 selection boxes on the shelf in our local tesco express and planning to go to B & M's in the morning to hopefully get some more photo xmas cards.

I am getting excited now as its only 2 weeks until we visit my brother in london for the Hyde Park winter wonderland and 1 month to go until we visit Center Parks for their winter wonderland. It look so magical from pictures i've seen.

    Happy shopping everyone! :):)

Congrats pinknfluffy on the job :T

Louise those tree decs look fab, going to try making some for my tree. Hope you do really well at your craft fair.

Nothing much Christmassy to report. Tomorrow, when DH is at footy, Christmas 24 will be on and I'm going to write out my Christmas cards to make sure I've made enough. Also thinking of doing a personalise calendar for Hubby. Does anyone know of any sites that do them fairly cheaply where you can add important dates? Or even a template online I could print my own out though that might use a lot of ink.

vistaprint is good if you can get one for free although postage is high but it depends on how much you get. another one is photobox which is good for prints/gifts ect.

    Vistaprint

I've used vistaprint last few year for calendars etc at christmas and find them great, do have to order early (took pics of dd's next to metrocentre xmas decorations last week to get our december picture in plenty of time) if leave it till last minute postage is huge.

Also receive loads of free offers from them (can get 4 free things per order) i placed an order with them y2day for £20.17 (inc p+p) got 3 calendars, mug, 2 pens, merry christmas stamp, 10 xmas cards and a 20 page photo flip book.
Placed another order today for £5.92 (inc p+p) and got another calendar, notebook, diary and t shirt.
All personalised with pics of kids, gonna be some very happy parents and grand parents come xmas day:snow_laug

    Hi

Thanks to ideas on here I've made my FIL a pint of socks. I also asked one friend yestday if she wanted to not do kids presents as we were saying how much clutter we have, she was in agreement. Have another pal to suggest the same to...
Got the grandparents sorted, although I would like to take a nice pic of the kids to frame for each too. Got my nieces sorted, the kids almost sorted, and I can't think of anyone else I need to buy for. Oh, my old granny. Lol. I'm getting her some crisps to go with a 4-pack of mackiesons stout lol.

Haven't started wrapping yet, but I have paper and tags, so it's just a case of getting on with it. Don't like that bit ;)
