  • I think that sounds really nice :xmassmile
I think this sounds fab and if he loves spicy things i'm sure he'll love this! You've tailored it to what he likes so i'm sure it would be a lovely present for him and perfect for posting. :)

*Louise* i'm on my work PC again so can't see any pics for some reason  so will definitely check them out when I get home! I love seeing what you've all made it's really inspiring.
Thankyou both, needed a bit of reassurance! :) Hmm trying to think what to put on the tag now, the best thing I can think of is Hot stuff which isnt appropriate for someone elses husband. :rotfl:Something along the lines of having a 'chilli' winter/christmas but dont know how to put it? :undecided
I watched Christmas Town yesterday Kayandy cute isnt it? I also saw Miracle of Manhattan - at least I think it was called that, teh one with Finlays department store? that was lovely, have so many Sky+'d that if I dont watch them soon there wont be any space left|!

Louise all your goodies look lovely, so professional!

PrincessKitty I love the hamper, it looks great!
Same here. :rotfl: I am loving Christmas 24 and Christmas 24+, only prob is that by christmas a lot tends to be repeats of whats been on before. Im sure Ill have plenty saved on my sky box though that I still havent watched! :D (well if I delete some stuff, OH doesnt really want any Dog the bounty hunter on there does he?! :D)

    Lovely crafty things Louise! :xmastree:

  • I'm really quite close to finishing my shopping now, and am finding it quite frustrating that "the smiley faced website" seem to be hiking their prices the closer to Christmas it gets! I've only had divine inspiration as to what to get my brother and Nana in the past week, have put price watches on them both and they're going up! If I'd thought of the ideas in September they would have been half the price :(

What's the "smiley faced website"? Been racking my brains but can't think! Why don't you post what you're after on here & someone might have seen it cheaper :o
  • We're spending Christmas at my parents house this year and I thought I wouldn't be able to do a Christmas Eve hamper actually on Christmas Eve as it's my brothers birthday and we normally go out for drinks, however i've found out that he's working in the evening (he's a carer) so won't be going out and therefore I can do the hamper. The only thing is i'm worried my OH might think it's a bit weird especially as we're at my parents! He's not miserable but might not get it! Plus he never wears pj's! Although sometimes when it's really cold he'll put on a t-shirt and jogging bottoms. I can put in hot choc and stuff and a dvd that my parents would like to watch too (they're really easy going). I suppose I could do a Christmas Eve hamper for my parents too but it starts getting quite expensive! Hmm, I might do one for everyone if I can find things cheap enough!

This is pretty much the same for my OH - he will not 'get' a christmas eve hamper at all!! This will be our first Christmas living together so I'm going to do one regardless, he doesn't wear pjs either, but I'm going to get him some sort of loungewear type ones so they aren't too pj like, as he often says he's not comfy sitting at night in his jeans. He also doesn't like hot chocolate (weirdo :rotfl:) but I'm sure I'll find some other bits for it!
  • Thanks for your advice, no one I know has sold at a fair before or even likes making crafty items so I really don't have anyone for reassurance.
Will attempt to put some pics up soon, trying to organise a mountain of half-finished baubles into some sort of order!
Hope your Christmassy things are going well xxxx

I'm sure it will be great, but it is understandable to be worried beforehand! In my experience things like that are always very busy!

Look forward to seeing your pics!

I did my first craft fair in October and I was nervous too but I made a few things I found on this site and Pinterest - there are loads of ideas there, so worth joining! :)

I wrote a blog post about what worked for me at the craft fair here.

How about something like 'Be prepared for a chilli winter/Christmas.....' or 'Spice it up at Christmas!'. Sorry, i'm not great at these things either!!

Yes I was thinking of getting loungewear type pj's too, I don't think he'd like formal ones! I think even though they might think it's strange they will actually enjoy it when we present them with it. My OH never seemes to 'get' it when i'm telling him i'm going to do things, but loves it when I do them. I remember a couple of years ago he whinged at me about buying a pumpkin to carve saying it was pointless and a waste of money (we don't have children), but once i'd carved it and put the candle inside he was raving about it and took loads of photos of it! Men! :rotfl:

This happened to me last night, I was getting a few things out as I had to wrap a present for my auntie to take to her this weekend and I kept discovering stuff I forgot I had! Next weekend i'm going to get it all out so I can actually take stock of what i've got and not buy any more! :o

They sold for £1.50, which is quite good considering the bars cost 20p. They are a bit fiddly to make though.
