  • Hmm I need some seeds too as I am making a mini 'flower pot hamper' for my OH's mum. I've got a small flowerpot that used to have an orchid in it that i'm going to clean up, I just bought some lovely Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners hand cream to put in it and I also want to get a pack of seeds and some gardening gloves to go with it. What i'm not sure about is how do I knoe what seeds would be good for the size of flower pot i've got?? It's not very big!

Good luck today aliaslotte - hope it all goes well! :)

Shame I already bought some! :(
  • morning!

am not in good mood as I changed my whole schedule to get to tesco first thing for the B1G2F selection boxes, only to find it isnt on!

CS got manager to check (after first giving the whole 'it isnt the same in every store' spiel they always do when this happens, well it SHOULD be!) it finally transpired the offer starts at midnight tonight, so it isnt really on until tomorrow! was very fed up as I can't go back tomorrow, have a car issue to sort out grrr!!!!!!! hope others can get them anyway :-)

Own My Own I kept getting up to check, at 3.55am it was 174/173 in favour of Romney, I kept saying it wouldnt be close and there was no way on earth Romney would win ... thank heavens by 7am Obama won by clear margin or Id have looked a right muppet! am so pleased, I love him and think hes great for the country, I think the republicans have kind of shot themselves in the foot over their behaviour over the last 4 years and people have seen that :)

welsome mumofthreeplusoh, loving the early Buble, thats what we love to hear!!
  • good luck today aliaslotte!
  • Sorry to get everyone's hopes up and sorry you had a stressful time snugglebunny :(
  • Good luck today aliaslotte! You'll do great! :)

I'm glad Obama won too, he seems a really genuine man who actually cares. :)

  • wasnt your fault princesskitty ! :)

saw it on the grabbit board just as I was logging off last night, I was meaning to post it here as soon as I got back from there first thing, I have a bit of a beef with mr T, the staff are nice enough but each time there is some issue with an offer they always trot out 'well it isnt the same offer in every store you know', I dont really understand why it wouldnt be! It's usually a bit of a fob off, its only when you ask them to check that you get an answer.

When they put the offer on the wrong size of Surf bottle earlier this year and I quietly mentioned to them, they just would not have it, in the end I said 'look, it's no skin off my nose, Im just trying to do you a favour by letting you know you've put it on the wrong size bottle, as people will be asking when they buy it why it hasnt gone through' she fetched a manager and hey presto .. they finally realised what I was telling them, checked it and panicked as they had made a mistake! No helping some people!
  • ooooh apologies! I just realised my post may have looked like I was being stroppy with princesskitty, I honestly wasnt, is in no way your fault hun and thank you for posting it, I'd have posted it myself when I got back as it was on the grabbit board, think people there were told by Mr T staff it started 7th, but it's actually midnight on 7th, bless them! xxx
  • Oh no don't worry I didn't think you were being stroppy with me, and I apologised just in case anyone had rushed out to Tesco's! What are we like, we're always worrying about offending someone but I don't think anyone on here would do that! :)

Sorry to hear of your woes at Tesco - sometimes there is no helping people!

If it makes you feel better I bought my selection boxes a few weeks ago and don't need anymore so I don't get to take advantage of the deal! :o

Also, I have been a complete NUMPTY - I save up all year for Christmas and I have been buying quite a few Christmas presents this month, however I didn't get around to moving the money out of my savings account into my current account in time and i've gone overdrawn and will now be charged! I know, I know it's completely my own fault and I should have transferred the money beforehand and I accept that it's my fault, it's just that i've sought out quite a few bargains and it takes the shine out of them a little bit! :(

is it ok to still stay a part of this thread even though im skint now and cant buy any more presents or anything special for Christmas? My input will be less than the past but i find all of your ideas brilliant especially OMO and i am gaining so many ideas for homemade presents next year and "pinning" them so i can start early again.

Still catching up on the thread and I'm sure others have commented but I don't think the idea of this thread is purely to discuss what you've bought or just to share ideas, it's about offering advice and opinions, discussing xmassy films and general chitter chatter so don't disappear on us!
