Remember to use cheap chocolate.
Moulds from 99p store.
Chocolate slab hamper would be cheaper than cupcakes.
Moulds x 4 £4
Cheap choc 100g x 12 £ 3.60 (enough for 8 slabs)
Decoration ? (but you have £7 left from budget)
White choc and candy cane
Milk choc with white stirred in and Mars Planets
White with hundreds and thousands
White choc and orange choc (using orange zest dye )
Milk choc and mini marshmallows.
Instead of the slab moulds, buy cupcake moulds. As they are smaller, they will harden quicker. This means the choc can come out of the mould quicker, and the mould can be reused quicker, so less hanging about.
The chocolate does not have to be rock hard to come out of the mould. If you are careful, you can take them out and let them harden on a tray in the fridge.
Thank you so much, I'm defiantly going to do choc slabs instead of cupcakes, I might just do one large choc making hamper between them, it's hard finding things for them to do together but this has set light bulbs off in my head! Could u tell me how long choc slabs & homemade truffles keep? Would like to make some to include in their hamper so they have an idea what it's all about! U r my crafty guru! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -

You can make them now if you want to.
I am making some tomorrow.
You just need to keep them in a cool dry place.
I store mine in a tupperware container and just lay a piece of kitchen towel between them.0 -

Can everyone look out for cheap packets of seeds please. I know home bargains have a small garden section, but I can't remember if they have seeds.
They are for my Seed Slider. I have become a bit obsessed with them. I have
reindeer food sliders
tea bag sliders
coffee bag sliders (yes you can buy Lyons fresh coffee bags)
and seed sliders.
Only all the seeds I have found have been too expensive. Homebase had some for £2.89
The last time I bought seeds they were about 50p:rotfl:
:rotfl: I am going to become a pop star. I am going to be known as LINKY SLIDER :rotfl:0 -

Saturday is the 10th, if any is recording it.
I once bought back a set of 10 glass, glitter globe, baubles from California. I was a nervous wreck the whole way home.:rotfl:
I can't remember how much they cost me, but I don't think they were that cheap.
The one thing I did notice about they decorations, is that they are all so large.
We also found a Christmas shop out there, on Pier 39, that is open ALL YEAR.:j
OMG I was in there in August!!!:T:beer: WHAT an amazing shop! the morning we were leaving for LA I went for a walk by myself (to say bye bye to the Golden Gate Bridge and the sea lions .... and yes, have a look at the Christmas shop!!) I actually didnt buy anything in the end as I bought so many decs back from Disney on previous trip I really didnt think I could justify anything new, but they were so beautiful! I was a wreck all the way home from Disney last time with the decorations all wrapped in anything I could get my hands on, luckily they survived! there is a Chrsitmas Shop at Downtown Disney in Orlando which is just heaven, they have to drag me out of that place! :rotfl:0
