Thanks for the welcome, you all seem so kind and friendly. By the way I love Christmas too.
On the way back home from hols in the car in August the kids wanted me to change the cd in the car. OH was killing himself laughing as he put on Micheal Bubles It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Kids were screaming to get it off, but we were singing at the top of our voices.:rotfl::rotfl:[SIZE=2]SPC4 #1395 Aug 11 £135.75/£150

Good Morning !
Laying here at silly o'clock, watching the USA election. Well, as I guess you all know by now, Obama Won. They are just waiting for him to take the stage. The TV screen is split in two, with the Obama half having a party and the Romney half all crying. It really is like looking at 2 different countries.
One lot are the 'all American kids' the other lot could come from anywhere, they are so mixed in creed and colour.
I am 2 different countries at the moment,:rotfl:
My body is saying 'get up and do something' and my head is saying 'no, go back to sleep'.
Think I am too awake now to go back to sleep. I will wait to hear the speeches then get up and get cracking.0 -

It would be great to find coloured ones, ive decided to do a baking hamper for the elves to bring, but as money is now fairly tight, i have a budget of £15 max. Contents need to be suitable for both dd (aged 5 & 12) so was tempted with chocolate making instead of cupcakes. Any ideas what i could include? The cheaper & more brightly coloured the better!) thanks in advance :rudolf:
B & M had some baking items reduced and they are all bright colours , they had chocolate molds reduced to 50p.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Morning, hope you got back to sleep OMO?
My littlest DD decided 6:15am was an ok time to get up! I'm shattered after working late last night and am working again tonight.
I'm going to get my eye tested this morning and probably get new glasses.
I'm also going to pop into poundland to see if they have the ceramic measuring cups someone mentioned. I might pick up a few things and do a baking hamper for my 10yr old neice, I have no ideas hat else to get her.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
I ordered a set of these gingerbread house cutters yesterday.

On one of the Christmas threads (I subscribe to two) someone was doing a gingerbread hamper. If you put gingerbread in the search it brings up other ginger things too.0 -

Well it says it's "Christmas" style but I'll try and keep it up longer by saying it's actually just general "Winter" bunting! (Not sure I'll get away with it but will try!)
Also ordered the popcorn holder to make up a little 'movie night in' hamper with some popcorn and a DVD:

OMO what are "sliders"?! I've bought lots of seeds from cheap shops (Lidl, B&M etc from about 30p +) and they've always grown well but I haven't noticed any recently.....mind you I haven't been on the lookout as I don't bother starting any until Spring.
I adore that website! So many gorge little things. Hoping to get some of the toadstool type lights etc for my sister to decorate her flat as its her first Xmas in her own place.
I was thinking of just getting random decs for my mum cos she likes things that are all abit different and one off sort of things.
Also want to get some of the stacking kids lunch boxes for myself!0 -
Own_My_Own wrote: »Can everyone look out for cheap packets of seeds please. I know home bargains have a small garden section, but I can't remember if they have seeds.
They are for my Seed Slider. I have become a bit obsessed with them. I have
reindeer food sliders
tea bag sliders
coffee bag sliders (yes you can buy Lyons fresh coffee bags)
and seed sliders.
Only all the seeds I have found have been too expensive. Homebase had some for £2.89
The last time I bought seeds they were about 50p:rotfl:
:rotfl: I am going to become a pop star. I am going to be known as LINKY SLIDER :rotfl:
I bought some vegetable seeds a couple of months ago from SeedsbyPost, which were 50p each and if you spent £5 postage was free, but I've just looked and there don't appear to be any for 50p anymore. Worth bearing in mind in future though.0
