Could I just make a suggestion for those of you that watch the Polar Express? One of the small christmas presents that you give to your children could be a bell on a ribbon. We did it for one Christmas when my children were younger and we pretended we couldn't hear the bell ring, only they could. It was a lovely thing to do and worked a treat. :)

Ooooohhhh! I wanted some of those! But cant justify the £10.99 online!
And the bestest thing...Christmas pudding and Santa bin bags! :j:j:j :xmastree: They were with the normal bin bags! Have wanted these for ages but far too expensive online!
Even more happy as I can go christmas shopping today too as Im helping my mum with her christmas shopping. :D

  • I pop on & off here when I get chance but since I posted last time theres so many pages to get through! I mentioned about never seeing the Polar Express - & I still haven't seen it! Just missed it when it was on TV at the weekend! You sound like you love it so I NEED to see it :D

I have an app on my phone called 'Days Until Xmas' which gives me a count down to Christmas & plays Christmas music to me whenever I open the app :D So Christmasy!

Polar Express is on again this weekend - ITV2 on Saturday 11th at 17:55 for anyone who missed it or loves it so much they want to watch it again :rotfl:
  • I found these online and I am definitely going to be making my own version with ribbon scarfs

  • Back in January O bought a load of family Christmas cards in Hallmark, the receipt is still in the bag, 10 for £5, Gran, brother, brother, sister, mum & dad, sis & bro in law, nephew, nephew, dear friend & our house to your house. So this month, just need to get card for DHs Gran. Already got a box of 30 for 50p for neighbours, work colleagues etc also back in January :) Very excited about taking DN to the Christmas light switch on next week, and his little brothers christening is on Sunday 18! Busy month so far! Also need to remember to put in a request for an early shift on Boxing Day as DH and I are going to his mum & dads for dinner, along with SIL & BIL and 2 DNs!! Because I work in retail, working on Boxing Day is compulsary, and this year we no longer will be paid double time on boxing day!!! I think its time and a half but im not sure!! Going to my Grans for Christmas day.

I found mine in the alcohol aisle, mine came in cellophane with a gold ribbony tie
Forgot say it is a little brown bear with a miniature baileys in clear cellophane, ideal little stocking filler or in my case teachers present

    Awww thank you. :o

It was interesting. I came out feeling less than positive - I'd given it my best shot, but one of the interviewers didn't seem to like what I had to say lol. :o However, I had a message when I got home inviting me to the next stage. Eck. It clashes with a shift at work [as did today - but I was able to alter that] - not sure how that will go down, especially as we are not allowed time off in Nov/Dec.

I'm still catching up with the thread so someone might have already mentioned this but I'm sure an employer HAS to allow you time off for interviews HTH x

ETA: just read you have rescheduled, good luck and fingers crossed for you xx
