not sure if this helps but i was going to get my dd a doodle daisy for christmas and mentioned it to my friend whose daughter has one and she says they are not too good - dont want to put you off i you want to get it, but she said it is really hard to use(her dd was 6 at the time) and it doent produce very good results:mad:
maybe worth seeing if there are other reviews online maybe??? sorry if i have out you off,
Thanks.problem is ive bought it now.its for my 3 year old,she loves anything to do with drawing.

    EDIT
Just had a read through some reviews and there all mixed, lots saying its fab others saying the nibs broke off the pens or its fiddly to set up.TBH what toys these days dont have mixed reviews really.we shall see on christmas day how we get on,least it didnt cost me £18 if its no good

    Awww thank you. :o

It was interesting. I came out feeling less than positive - I'd given it my best shot, but one of the interviewers didn't seem to like what I had to say lol. :o However, I had a message when I got home inviting me to the next stage. Eck. It clashes with a shift at work [as did today - but I was able to alter that] - not sure how that will go down, especially as we are not allowed time off in Nov/Dec.

Like others have said, finishing my Christmas shopping in October is costing me money lol. I got some great deals and managed to do it all for around £110. Now I am buying bits and pieces all over the place. I guess I could put them towards the birthdays around Christmas, then I don't have to feel bad. :o

i know exactly what you mean been buying bits all year put them away then buy more cause i forgot or seen more bits that would be ideal, lol

Hope you manage to jiggle the time off for it aliaslotte :) isn't that always the way when you think you've blown it, it'd actually gone better than you thought:) I had an interview years n years ago and the panel sat in a semi circle around me - I was in the hot seat, questions started and I thought phew I can answer that so started my prattle only for the chair of governors to say "sorry I can't hear you!" Put me right off bag of nerves after that... Only to find his niece got the job!

Does anybody know what the red/green circles are under our avatar?

anyone else find that by buying stuff early theres soo much temptation to buy more then you need/planned? technically I finished the presents for my youngest wks ago and far underbudget(the rest will go into a savings account) but keep seeing stuff on offer and thinking oh that would be perfect and then have to stop myself coz I really dont need to buy anything lo else and its not very ms to buy more for the sake of it :o .

Oh yes - I'm quite bad for that :o I guess I just like shopping more than saving. I feel sad when everything is done so keep getting little extras for people. Think my MIL has about 5 gifts now :rotfl:

i prefer waiting to wrap presents so i can put on some christmas music and have a drink :) plus if i did it now i would be far too hyped up about christmas! no one really does the same as me and people think im mad but i love the organising part and the wrapping especially now when the christmas things are out i love walking around the shops looking at them - christmas is my favourite time of year :snow_laug

    Me too!!:j
Although I love being organised I just CAN'T start wrapping until the tree goes up. The I sit with mas music/film and a wee drink and get all Christmassy. It also means familys' gifts can go straight under the tree when it's wrapped instead of storing it all away again:T

I spoke to the school today and the HEAD said I can put my gifts in the staffroom for a week with an order form.:j
I will do this at the beginning of December, when everyone there is being more Christmassy.

Oh, that's a good ida, hope you get plenty of orders. First week is best as well, so you have enough time to make everything :T

I confirmed today that I would do the school craft fayre this year. I only have 4 weeks to get organised for it though (it will keep me busy and stop me buying more gifts :D)

I will be making (and hoping to sell)

    Snowman Soup
    Snowman poop
    Reindeer poop
    Reindeer food
    Perfect man
    Personalised key rings
EShaw decorated mints (still need to find milk choc ones)
    Jars of sweets
Knitted mini stockings (mum making these)
Knitted christmas dolls (She is making these as well :))
Handmade cards (got loads of them already made)
Possibly some stitched keyrings as well time dependant)

Have bought a fair amount of materials already and going to make a start on some things tomorrow :j
