with regards to the sweet jars, ive done a sweet jar for my bro as part of his xmas pressie, i got a tub from the 99p store and used about 4 bags of sweets to fill it, mini whams bars, lollys, vimto sweets etc..the tub is a bit like one of these, except taller, imagine the top one with double the height http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Set-of-3-x-Round-Screw-On-Coloured-Lid-Plastic-Storage-Container-Tubs-/120865643519?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Kitchen_FoodStorage_GL&var=420065458568&hash=item1c24275bff&_uhb=1
or if you type plastic screw jars into ebay, loads come up..some lovely victorian style ones...make sure you check the dimentions...as the weight can be misleading HTH

Hello all,i really cant keep up with this thread,im so busy on a daily basis i dont get time to read through
i went to B&M bargains today and made a start on family gifts, they have some lovely gifts,im spending under £10 on each family member, most expensive being £8 lol picked up a lovely double mug set with a mini whisk,2 mugs and 3 20g portions of different flavored hot choc for £4 for my sister.got my niece some lovely bits aswell,2 of them moshi monsters mad so got them pamper stuff which was priced at only £3 a set, love a good bargain.
I wanted to get my daughter doodle daisy but at £18 in argos i was put off,had a look on ebay ad someone is selling them for £10 brand new so super chuffed with that saving aswell.
not sure if this helps but i was going to get my dd a doodle daisy for christmas and mentioned it to my friend whose daughter has one and she says they are not too good - dont want to put you off i you want to get it, but she said it is really hard to use(her dd was 6 at the time) and it doent produce very good results:mad:
maybe worth seeing if there are other reviews online maybe??? sorry if i have out you off,0 -
This is quoted from WAY back, sorry! But I just can't think of any reason Isobelle could cause teasing!? Why did he think it would?
Emily is a fantastic name also, of course.
thanks, his trail of thought was along the lines of her being called izzy bizzy lets get busy(in a rude way as a teenager), and things along that kind of line - he was really adament - and am sure she would have never been called these things!!! am glad she is called emily now though0 -

Great minds think alike...lol
Are you using mainly brown 'Kraft' paper for wrapping too? Will probably use that for grown ups pressies but have Santa paper for the youngest. Still need to get cellophane for my hampers but will probably try and get a trip to hobby craft for that one night as ours is open late.0 -

I have bought yet more wrapping paper.
The other day, I went into Ikea and got the Father Christmas kraft paper and the tags to go with it. I am not sure how to 'dress it up' though as I don't think the shiny ribbon I have would work.
Anyway, today I saw a lush roll of black wrapping paper with sliver baubles. That I can use my shiny sliver ribbon on, the silver chocolate coins and the little silver bauble tags I bought.
Desperate to start wrapping!
Meanwhile, after a wander onto the grabbit board, I've ended up spending £20.50 on Body Shop! Whoops. RRP comes to £75 though, so I guess I shouldn't feel too guilty lol.
Like others have said, finishing my Christmas shopping in October is costing me money lol. I got some great deals and managed to do it all for around £110. Now I am buying bits and pieces all over the place. I guess I could put them towards the birthdays around Christmas, then I don't have to feel bad.0
