I picked up a couple of the bears with the baileys the other day, can't decide whether to give to my boys teachers with a chocolate slab or as a little gift to my 3 best friends.
Also picked up some lovely little cases, a bit like little suitcases. Black with either bright coloured polka dots or flowers. Bargain as reduced to £1. They were by the stationary in my local B&M. Ideal for hampers! I'm goin to fill mine with little hair accessories/other little bits I pick up for my friends little girl. :snow_laug:santa2::rudolf:0 -
I bought the reindeer in The Card Factory last night, he is sooo cute! Unfortunately, Santa & a couple of gingerbread men had an accident and fell into the bag also, but it will be a good home
Also picked up a couple of word searches (spiral) together with their fab calenders/diary combo's in The Works.
Now got a problem in that I have a spreadsheet with lists but no idea where everything is hidden:mad:A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Hi everyone.
I am spending my day in front of the TV!
I have recorded loads of Christmassy films and I am currently watching "a holiday to remember" it's lovely!!!
Im going to go through the tv guide and set up some more to record over the following week.
I was wondering, those with kids - did you often change your mind during pregnancy about your childs name? We have really struggled and then we settled on one but everyone took the mickey out of it and we just decided that it would be unfair to name him something when even grown adults would mock the name so we changed our mind.
It has been something we have really struggled with and we think we have found a name now that we like but now im really paranoid that nobody will like it again - i know its our decision but i dont want to give anyone reason to bully him throughout life.
Don't forget the Tesco clubcard voucher exchange - I was debating "investing" in a Tassimo machine, I read that i could get £20 off if I spent £75 on Tesco direct and I have £8.50 of vouchers which would make it up to £13.50 if ive worked it out right. The Tassimo is £69 + I could get our little Christmas tree we need so that would take it down to £55 - £13.50 = £41.50 and apparently it comes with £20 worth of vouchers for coffee pods - If I really stretched then I could *just* about afford it, *just* - I don't really do coffee but hubby loves his coffee and I could send off for the coffee pods so its all ready to use. i thought what a wonderful surprise gift that would be. He took one of his birthday presents back to get our toaster and kettle so i really feel that i should spoil him but its a bit naughty - ok a lot naughty... what should i do lolEverything is always better after a cup of tea0 -
Chirpychick we constantly changed our minds about baby names, and both times didn't actually make up our minds (between a very short shortlist) until we had met the baby. (This often works to the woman's advantage as she has just done all the work and deserves to have her first choice, LOL!)0

I would have a look at the cost of pods first before deciding on a machine - we got the dolce gusto red one (that I think looks like a bug!) as pods can be bought cheaper in Costco

Im having a coffee and enjoying listening to Smooth Xmas radio
Im SO happy theyre doing it again this year!!
Have a great day everyone
Thanks for that, will fill in nicely until the digital radio one starts:D
Chirpychick, we struggled with boys names. Ended up with a really traditional one (about 3 in his year at school) for the eldest, slightly more unusual for younger. Girls are easier but my DD has a more unusual name too. Why not try a few out on us?Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Chirpychick, my ds1 Oliver was named spud for the 1st week as we couldn't decide on a name. I wanted name him Rhys until I was 36wks then changed my mind!
Someone will always not like the name you pick, so just go for a name that you like as really what everybody else thinks doesn't matter!0 -

Before I go to bed, Is there anyone on here that is particularly crafty and uses stamps ? I have a question about colouring in. I've recently acquired some extremely lovely christmas stamps from hobby craft but I've never used the before . I know they sell specific pens for colouring in parts once stamped but I was wondering if there is anything else people use?
I can't really afford the £15 price tag of the HC pens.
I use watercolour pencils I bought half price from WHSmiths but you'd need to use permanent ink so the stamped image doesn't run when you add water. Did you say it was for wrapping paper? If so watercolours would prob wrinkle the paper. Felt pens might work TBH.Im having a coffee and enjoying listening to Smooth Xmas radioIm SO happy theyre doing it again this year!!
