Thank you pinkandfluffy brilliant ideas:) xThe secret of Christmas

Hello everyone
I've had a few nasty days and just haven't felt up to coming online but I have enjoyed reading the back log of pages I've missed. You lot can talk until your fingers bleed :rotfl:
I can't remember who asked now but Home Bargains have children's themed cardboard storage boxes in packs of two in at the moment. I stocked up on a few sets for under DS's bed to keep his lego sets seperate.
They're 59P! An absolute bargain, They also have pink polka dot ones and another more 'adult' type pattern for anyone else who may be looking for suitable hamper boxes
I've picked up a two of the tesco half price gift sets today. A small lynx one for my brother and a larger one for my dad - So that's two more presents off the list.
Also nipped in tesco on monday and took advantage of the 3 for 2 on toys. DS is technically finished apart from his main gift which will be bought at the end of november as my mum is going halfs with me on the cost (thankfully!) and even thought he has well..far too many presents already if im being honest, there were a few small items I wanted him to have so I got him a board game called polar panic that they have in his class at school and he loves for £5 and a small lego set he wanted for £5 and then got another small lego set for £5 for free.
I need to stop buying for him now! If I took a picture of everything he has I am fairly certain some of you would be appauled!
It may be an idea to take a few things and put them away for his next birthday...
I'm so excited, It's officially November! In exactly a month it will look like christmas in my house when I put all the decorations up and the elf comes to visit! I really can't wait and it's the first thing that's put a smile on my face in days! I hope it flies by
Before I go to bed, Is there anyone on here that is particularly crafty and uses stamps ? I have a question about colouring in. I've recently acquired some extremely lovely christmas stamps from hobby craft but I've never used the before . I know they sell specific pens for colouring in parts once stamped but I was wondering if there is anything else people use?
I can't really afford the £15 price tag of the HC pens.Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Hi Damsel hope you are feeling better now
I kno some days are tough but hopefully we can get each other through. You have done so well with your pressie stash, you've managed so well for your DS well done you. Remember this year you are going to start brand new traditions for you both (and your elf) it's exciting in a scary sort of way:)
I card make and scrap book (less now than I used to) there are a variety of ways to colour your stamped image Promarkers are the felt pens (permanent marker) Marvy le plume (water colour pen) water colour pencils (my fav, colour like a pencil and brush over with a wet paintbrush to shade and blend) water colour palate and some people use chalks. I think if you are just starting out maybe a set of water colour pencils may be the best option. It's tricky to advise without seeing your stamps.. I'm a less is more girl so sometimes a black stamped image on white card may only need a tiny bit of red or gold glitter glue pen to make a simple/classy card! The secret of Christmas

I'm feeling Ok now. I lost my Christmas spirit for a few days after a few nasty words were exchanged between myself and DS's father but november falling upon us and the elfs impending visit in just 29 short days has cheered me right up!
I'm planning on making some whttp://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=56917595rapping paper with one of the stamps and perhaps using it on gifts tags I'm making. The other stamps ive got I'm happy to use as they are but there's a fairly large on that looks so lovely in colour, I only need three colours for it red ,black and a very light blue.
It's this one ..And I have to say I'm quite gutted as my mum paid full price for this instore at the weekend for me!

Are these the ones with the little teddy bear for 99p? My local had these in the other day, as you went in the door they were on the shelf, I bought a couple. I usually get in there everyday as it is only 5 minutes away, but I find you gotta be quick, cause things like this fly off the shelf.0 -
