Thank you to whoever posted about the sylvanian hotel on offer in Argos. My little cousin has talked about nothing but this since seeing it in a local toy shop and my auntie was worrying as she knew she couldn't afford the £100 price but now there will be one very happy girl on Christmas morning0

What a day! After dropping kids at school I spent an hour making up little goodie bags for trick n treaters and putting up our few halloween decs. I then popped to argos and picked up the half price polly pocket waterslide park set, even though i have officially finished xmas shopping i couldnt resist this as its on dd's list to santa but i refused to pay the £50 rrp! So now i have to find something for £25 for eldest dd, as i always spend same on them. I then spent 4 hours wrapping presents! it was wonderful, just me, mr buble and my scented candle! I think i got about 90% done before it was time for school pick up. Our room now looks much tidier as ive been able to store everything a bit neater! Checked all my receipts and note book and am ver pleased to announce that i have spent just under £800 on our 4 dd's, with a total rrp value of £1360!!! Dh was amazed when i text and told him just how much i had saved us this year! Am now hoping this awful weather puts off anymore trick n treaters as we only have one goody bag left - and i made 25!!!It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

I know what you mean about skylanders we got my step son the first one for his birthday too and he's wants the booster pack for Xmas cheapest I've found is £39.99
Just is case you don't know the starter pack is actually better value you get 1 large & 2 small figures while in the booster pack you only get the 1 large figure and only £10 more and a spare portal just in case!!!;)

Well the Body shop goody bag I ordered on DH's behalf for me has arrived as has the LED torch keyring thingy someone recommended on here. Got my free Aqua fresh toothbrush yest too to put in DH's stocking (even though he's seen it now!)
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the spare room with pressies starting to pile up. Unfortunately it looks dark and wet outside.
OMO you should definitely put some of your ideas forward on the £5 festive fillers thread - I'm stealing your "Hotel Chocolat" slab idea
This thread is so massive to even begin reading back so can I ask what the hotel chocolat slab idea is?Life is what you make it.0 -
Forgot to add, DH is taking me down to Birmingham next Saturday 10 November, any suggestions on shops to go to or places to visit? Thanks in advance elves x
If you make things-ie sewing I would say go to the markets. I brought my mom and myself fabric, ribbons and felt from there a couple of weeks back
I am looking forward to the German Christmas markets in B-ham closer to xmas. We love the stalls for small gifts, and the food is yummy too!
