Will catch up on todays posts with a nice hot choc in a minute, got a new manager starting at work who has decided to shorten shift times, which is great, i will be back in time to get dd's from school, so no more childcare costs, but i now have to work 6 days instead of 5, so i loose my midweek "free" day to do shopping, prepare for xmas, clean etc. Oh well, i suppose that makes the "do i wrap now" decision for me. I will now spend this wednesday wrapping xmas pressies, as it could be the last day i get to myself for quite some time lol :rudolf:It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0

have been in christmas heaven this weekend. went to harrods for the first time ever...just to visit the christmas section. its amazing . the kids loved it. bought myself an apron but the kids had had a bit of a spend in hamleys so they couldnt have anything in harrods too!! a bauble with harrods 2012 on it...£6. beautiful for a look though even though i could not afford anything.
am a bit behind with christmas saving and this has made me sad as i started the year off so well. so far im 160 pounds behind in my savings. on a positive side...i normally owe more than that by far so if thats all i owe then thats great.
got a few pounds in boots points and a few pounds in tesco points and about 90 in asda. have finished my christmas eve bags and all the stockings are done. got a fair bit saved for the main event
hoping to get a good pay next month so that i can put a good bit away. was hoping to do some shopping in the sales as well.
quite positive when you think about it.
really love those biscuit tins in m and s and think they are great but nowhere near a m and s really so not worth me going out0 -
Hi, hope everyone is well. Far too many posts to comment on! Feels like ages since I have posted but have been keeping up with the thread! 3 weeks wednesday until my due date hurry up baby noodles i've had enough!
Thought I was doing well with my shopping as this is my current list;
Hubby PJ's
Pic n mix
Husband xmas card
Daddy card from kids
Lots of forrero rocher for as cheap as possible (this is proving hard!) I am not paying any more than £2.20 for 16 LOL!:rotfl:
Apple app voucher for hubby
Amazon voucher for hubby (unsure of this now though)
Gordon Ramsey cook book for hubby
Hotel chocolat chocolate for bil
Wine for aunt & uncle
Double photo frame for grandad
Cherry Liquers for mum
Sanctuary mini's for mil
Something for sil (she's 23, I'm thinking of some OPI nail varnishes from beauty whole salers but gonna take a look in tk maxx this am)
Something for hubby from the kids - really struggling with this! He doesnt do personalised or cheap!
So I'm thinking hey that's not bad! A lot of that can be done locally (thinking of newborn and xmas crowds!) until dh said over the weekend he would still like an xmas stocking (I said I werent doing one again as nothing I do is repeated back, I know its about the giving than the receiving but he is my husband and can be a bit useless!) so I guilt tripped him over that he has never done me a stocking or even when the only thing I asked is that he gets a little something for our crackers for me and he didnt bother. So he said he will do a stocking for me (I havnt had a stocking since I left home so very excited!) and he promised he wouldn't let me down :rotfl: ha ha that makes me sound like a right slave driver!
So now I am stumped at what to put in his stocking as I werent expecting to do one so havnt been looking!
I think its easier if I say what he doesnt like!
I've already got him chocolate so none of that!
Nothing personalised
He has given up most of his hobbies as he works so much!
He doesnt wear jewellery
Smellies - it doesnt seem special if I put in deodrant/face wash etc?
DVDs/CDs as he downloads them straight to his iPhone/laptop
Gigs or shows
He does like;
Expensive gadgets!?
T-shirts but is extremely fussy
Funky boxers i.e. the stripey Diesel ones that cost £20 each!!!
Work :rotfl:
Cleaning his car (but is time constraint and only uses the most expensive products!)
OMG help!!! :rotfl:
what about socks..everyone needs socks and at the mo primark has some fab funky ones..my mum brought my dad some with ducks and foxes on the other day0 -

this is the stage i am at...lexie will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and debating how long i can say its still baby weight - trying to loose weight to buy a new wardrobe as my xmas pressie!!!
have posted this on grabbit board but my local tescos today (im in norwich) had iphone and blackberry cases reduced all to £1 - total bargain, me and hubby brought new ones for our phones and think they would have cost well over £10 each at RRP!!!!0 -
I bought a Gordon Ramsey DVD in Poundland a couple of weeks ago if that helps?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
FGS
I have just spent the last hour hunting for my MOT cert to tax car in the morning. Couldn't see it in the Car folder, so went through 7 other folders. Then remembered they don't LOOK like MOT certs anymore:mad:
Just found the bit of scrap paper it is printed on in the BL0ody CAR FOLDER :mad:cornishorchid wrote: »what about socks..everyone needs socks and at the mo primark has some fab funky ones..my mum brought my dad some with ducks and foxes on the other day
