Am in Clacton. Got them in Thing-Me-Bobs. It is actually about 3 shops down from Marks, but thought saying next door would do.
In my defence the 99p store is RIGHT NEXT DOOR where Woolworths was.0 -
Hello,
Thank you all for replying to my very large postearlier!
Chirpy...yep have definitely asked, firstly he doesn't want anything! Then when I said well any ideas of anything little the kids can get you then, he mentions this wrist ball thing which costs £50! I said I dont think the kids can afford that and he said cant you put the rest :rotfl:
Then he said he wants the stocking!! I cant win however whilst going round the shops (why I thought this was a good idea during half term with dd(5) I never know!)
So I've had a think and I'm not going to make hubby a jar of gold, I'm going to make his stocking his present (well kind of, thought of getting the gordon ramsey book, picking a recipe I fancy and buying the ingredients, a bit like a cookery hamper!) so any chocs, vouchers etc go into the stocking instead of buying stuff and trying to do a stocking on top!?
And then that got me thinking even further (I will have major brain ache later!) well I normally put in smellies, coffees etc and seeming he says he wants a stocking he must like having these things in there right!? :rotfl:)
So so far I will put in the following;
A choc orange (either terrys or the tesco ones)
Elizabeth Shaw mints which I already had for him for jar of gold
Toffees sprinkled throughout (again which was bought for the jar)
App store card
Deodrants (bought today)
Some boxers reduced from TK maxx diesel for £7
Some sort of shower gel
A harmonica (he keeps going on about them!?)
My3girls.... hubby would love the home made vouchers and has been asking for them for years but the !!!!!! would want to redeem them at the worst possible time so puts me off!
Popped into mil's who mentioned a perfume sil likes so will get that for her instead of nail varnishes.
So a kind of productive day - thank you to all xxSpreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:0 -

Was tempted to whip to M&S by all you temptresses
I will not keep spending. I will not keep spending. I will not keep spending.

Welcome aboard our latest elfettes and elves. Mince pie any one:)
Kayandy I got a "pirate matey" in tesco for DGDs Christmas Eve hamper - ETA ignore me you've got one:)The secret of Christmas
It's not the things you do at Christmastime
But the Christmas things you do
All year through0 -
After much indecision, I think I've settled on my gift wrap lol. I am going to go with a plain matte finish paper in something like light blue or red. With the light blue, I will use metalic silver ribbon and replace the usual bow with silver chocolate pennies. With the red, I'll do the same with gold.
Or, at least that is the plan right now. I am still tempted by the kraft paper they have at Ikea/M&S too though lol. I am not buying anything yet, as I have already finished Christmas shopping and feel like I will have nothing festive left if I do anymore now lol. I have, however, stocked up on chocolate coins - they are two bags for £1 at Superdr*g at the moment. They'll get used, one way or another lol.0 -
My wrapping paper is in the loft. It has been there since I bought it in the January Sales, and I have no idea what it looks like:rotfl:
January was a long time ago, you know.:D0 -

I havent read the previous posts only just sat down as been to the coast today, it has been soooooooooo warm, but still I was thinking about Christmas whilst sitting on the beach watching the kids play. I have a cuppa so will read back.

I got the pink plush teddy, suitcase, tea set and 5 outfits for £32, most of it half price so saved nearly £30.:T
Whilst browsing for ideas for my brother who is 21 and has everything I was thinking of getting this to go with whatever else I can think of

And I am also getting these, hopefully you will all agree with me that these are just too cute, are they?
I am planning on using them as large wrapping and transporting gifts to peoples houses and for using on christmas day to put all the wrapping in, much better than a boring black bag that is in all the photos, I can picture the bin mens faces now!:rotfl:
Probably wont be telling the husband how much they cost though!!
