just thought I'd pop in to say if anyone has an android phone there is a new app Xmas Organizer (link to facebook page).

I downloaded it - tis pretty good. you put each person to buy for on it. their budget. then you can log ideas, bought, wrapped etc. much easier then excel for when you are out shopping for spur of the moment buys' ideas.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Just back from town & I popped into Next just out of curiosity & there wasn't much left (bar the rubbish!) but I got 2 sets of mini lip balms for £2 each as stocking fillers for the girls & a lovely bracelet for my niece for £5 - all half price.

oh me too!! I get shivers down my spine, and the bit at the end where he says one day the sweet sound fell silent for Sarah too, but not for him, not for those who truly beleive .. :T it has to be my favourite Christmas film, so beautifully done, the music too - my DD's school Christmas concert last year the orchestra played a medley from Polar Express, it really got to me, she's watched that film every Christmas for years and there she was playing it! :o

Erm.....were just back from the school run. We've changed into jammies & are nice & snug watching......POLAR EXPRESS!!!!

Hi if you don't mind me asking how much was it to get her ears done? I have to take my little cus to get his done for his bday next week and been told Claire's is the best place to go

it cost £32, £13-50 for each earring and £5 for the solution there were slightly cheaper earrings but my dd was paying for it herself so the choice was hers. they were really good they wore gloves and did both ears at the same time [1 person either side].

I think my husband would think I was totally off my rocket if he came in and found us doing that lol, does sound fun though! I have a confession though....,,,, I've never seen polar express  defiantly on my list for this year though!

Does anyone else's partner not understand the early excitement of Xmas? Mine hates me even mentioning it and it's a battle trying to get the girls excited too lol.

I've managed to get a couple of little gifts to put away but been really skint lately so not managed to take offers up that I would have liked.

Been having health probs too so rly struggling to get in the right mood, got a couple of mri's coming up and rly scared so once they're over hopefully I'll be chirpier!

There's a new shop in our town called tiger I think, it's like a mini ikea and lots and lots of fun things, I noticed nice beads for bracelet making and beautiful little old fashioned jars for £1 which will be lovely to fill with sweets & tie with ribbon

Definitely best doing both at the same time, both my oldests were done at Claire's and didn't even break a tear, they'd been wanting them done for ages. My friend recently pierced my youngest after her begging (she's licenced and all was sterile) but only did one at a time and it took a hell of a lot of convincing (and bribing) to let us do her second ear!

Don't know if this is any use for anyone but I have just noticed on mysupermarket that T$sco has Robertsons traditional mincemeat at 30p for a 411g jar (and apparently that's until 20th Aug). Don't know what the dates are like but I would assume they're fairly decent.

    Xmas Saver!
I know when Miss Hoodie wanted hers done, she would only have them done if she could have green stones in the earrings, she was in her green phase then, we had about 2 false starts, (both due to no green) we ended up ringing the branch of Claires to ask them to keep her a set back. She was 5 when she had hers done.

Me, I was 5 for the 1st set, 11 for 2nd, (last yr at primary school), no 3 (16) left sceondary school, no 4 (17) left college no 5 (was for passing my driving test)

I stopped at 5........ then when I was 28 I did my HNC - went onto tattos, I have about 26 or 28 now, (mostly little ones!!) xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

 am so impressed!!:T we just had hot chicken sandwiches in front of 'Bolt' :) before hubby got in, as soon as I suggest a Disney DVD on a horrible wet day I know DD will jump at it but DS will go 'awww noooo' ... then as soon as it starts he sits down and watches it start to finish
