A few pages ago people were talking about their favourite Christmas movies, I would like to buy some so what would you all recommend?

Home Alone & Scrooged. And if you like cartoons, Charlie Brown Christmas is great too. :)

my DD wants hers done, they arent allowed to even wear studs in her school so she wants them done now shes broken up so they are healed before terms starts again, is Claires the best place? most people seem to get theirs done there that I know so assume they are :)

for us it has to be Polar Express, Fred Claus, Barney's Night Before Christmas, Love Actually and The Holiday

I had my daughters ears done at Claires last summer.
They are expensive - drastically so in comparrison to if you take her to a beauty salon/hair dressers. The earrings corroded within 4 months and it took me a long time for them to accept that this was not right.
My daughter has had nothing but problems with her ears since she had them done and only now a year later they are starting to be well healed.
You have to buy a bottle of aftercare solution which i fully agree with, but, they do charge an extortionate price for it, my cousin pierces ears (and has done for 25 years) and was amazed at the prices they were charging because it is pennies to buy from the warehouse, it is a shame we didnt live close to my cousin, but there we have it.
My reccomendation is to look at salons who charge about half the price of Claires but are more than capable of giving good service.
    Hope this helps.

When I was little I had my ears pierced at a jewellers & I know nearly all the tattoo places also do piercing but I understand that you may not want to take a child to a tattoo place!

    dont go to Claires
they have little if any training
and hygiene is something they have no knowledge of

i sat on a planter in a shopping centre, and watched the girl take the money, put it in the till, and then pierce a childs ears:eek:

dont be conned into buying the aftercare solution
use a salt water solution instead
it will heal them quicker than anything you can buy

add half tsp sea salt to a pint of boiling water ALLOW TO COOL
bathe with that and pat dry
keep any left covered in the fridge
    make fresh after 24 hours
a tattoo/piercing place will use a needle, and be around £40 for both
ask around if any in your area could use a gun
(be prepared they may be horrified at the suggestion though):rotfl:
