Just out of interest, does anyone have a 12yo boy to buy for? OH has just got in contact with his step brothers (12 and 16) and they are a nightmare to buy for - no idea where to even start espcially with 12yo as too old for kids stuff, and too young for teen/adult stuff.

How much do you want to spend ?
Does either have an Xbox or PS ?

Most boys that age (12) will like Lynx, Adidas smelly sets. They are getting to the age where start to notice girls. And they perspire more.

The older boy may like a named aftershave.

My eldest is 12, his most appreciated present would be a gift card for GAME. (It helps the parents too, as console ames are so expensive!)

Other than that, name brand smellies are good. Unless you can find out what sort of DVD's he is into? For my son, family jsut ask me what to get him then they go out and buy it. If in doubt, ask the parents. :T

If he likes reading I would highly recommend the Darren Shan Horror Collection. It got ds interested in reading. He had a great English teacher who read them book one in class. We now own every book he has written. I enjoy reading them as well.

The greatest film ever!! I walked down the aisle to a piece of music from it (The final scene where she's in her bedroom, and all her friends come and party).

Also someone gave my LO an usborne activites fairy cooking which is 90% baking which we have not yet started using but you could check it out??

WOW! Thankyou for all of your suggestions, the cookie in jar mixes are a great idea and i can personalise them to dd's taste! Im going to ask dh very nicely if we can pop to poundland on way to hols in the morning, if just for the cherry coke & popcorn! Thanks again :rudolf:
