These are items I made for the school last year for the Christmas fair:

    Snowman kisses (aka jelly beans)

You could easily make them for your Christmas hampers.

    Xmas Saver!
Just saw these badges in the M&S gift guide. They are not online so can't add link, but I took a pic of them.

I bet most families have a few of them :rotfl:

For those considering a Santa key, I made my own last year:

    DSCF2566.JPG

I asked a local key cutting place if they had any they could sell me cheaply and explained what I wanted it for. The man kindly gave the key to me.

I bought gold spray paint from the pound shop, sprayed the key and then sprinkled it with glitter whilst it was still a bit wet. I made a label with this poem and attached the key to it with ribbon:

    Santa's Magic Key

This key is very special you see
Itwon't work for you or me
    Hang it outside your door
Go to bed and worry no more
Close your eyes and close them tight
Cause Santa Claus is coming tonight!

    There is also this one:

    Santa's Magic Key

We don't have a chimney for you to climb through,

But if you don't visit my our house I don't know what I'll do.

Some say you are magic and can use any old key
As long as we hang it out in a place you're sure to see.

So we're leaving this old key right outside our door

Saying our prayers, jumping in bed, and we won't worry anymore.

I've added a bigger photo so you can now see the key better :p

wow this thread moves fast! I should have commented on posts as read them as I can't remember who said what.

thanks for all the replies about the sleighs I will have to have a look around at different chocolate bars and decide which ones to use.

I know someone was looking for something chrismassy to do in the North East. My two are nearly 12 and 14 so I am a bit out of touch. The pantomime at the gala is good, we went a few years ago. There is also the tanfield railway and the polar express. we never did anything like that with the boys cos we were never organised enough to book before it all sold out. Beamish have a victorian Christmas event but I was disappointed when we went.

everyone has made some fab things - next time I will post sooner so I can remember who has done what. the elf passport is great. It's such a shame my two are too old for an elf:(
