It worked and she is beautiful .

I had come on to tell everyone I AM GOING TO BE A FOSTER NANNIE.

My dearest foster son ( who is now a grown man and living on the other side of the country) has just phoned to say he is going to be a Dad.
His little boy is due CHRISTMAS DAY :D

They have lost 2 babies in the last 3 years, and didn't want to tell me, as I am so far away and would worry.

They are going to call him Robbie, after his partners Grandad.

Yes I know .............I am going to buy him a reindeer outfit. :rudolf:

  • Sainsburys has loads of different types of liquorice sweets.

Ouzo is also very liquorice tasting.

    What about liquorice sticks?

If you type liquorice hamper into google images then lots of shop bought ones come up and you can steal the ideas :). I do this all the time to get ideas for my hampers :rudolf:
  • Oops sorry quoted the wrong person :(. Don't know if any of you have noticed my blonde moments recently but they seem to be coming fast and furiously at the mo ! I will blame it on the excitement of christmas and finally finding like minded people :)

    Evening!

Just a quick question - when you've been making your flavoured vodka, have you been putting the crushed sweets into the bottle you bought the vodka in or have you used or have you used a different bottle to make it in. I have no idea why I haven't thought of making my dad some. He's asked for vodka as usual, usually end up buying him a bottle, some cola etc. How much more fun would flavoured vodka be? How have I not thought of this before having been following this thread for a few weeks? D'oh!

Have just seen bossymoo asked a similar question and ownmyown answered. That'll teach me to post before I catch up, hee hee!

Dad loves liqourice so, has anyone made liquorice vodka? If so, any idea on how much liquorice to use?
Secondly, what other flavour could I make to go with it in a hamper? Ooh, my mind is working overtime....
Dad also likes walnut whips - any way I can recreate this in a flavoured vodka????

I know shocking isn't it and they look quite basic too nothing fancy
