Oh no, I'm not soft enough for that. I don't care if he is my son. I take monopoly very seriously. He'll pay up! Or risk my evil landlord wrath :rotfl:Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne

Loads of Christmas 'Scene It' Games in Home Bargains at Alfreton today, in Christmas aisle.

You lot are bad - you're making me want to go and buy M&S wrapping paper now! I bought some paper in the January sales this year but when I got it all down for from the loft I realised that I wouldn't have enough for this year  - how did I make such a mistake?! I normally always buy my paper in the sales and it sees me through fine, not sure how I miscaluclated it so badly! All year i've been smugly thinking I was all done with the wrapping paper without realising how little I actually had! Oh well, an excuse to buy some more pretty paper.
Someone asked what drinks we like at Christmas (sorry I can't remember who!), i'm a sucker for a plain old hot chocolate, however it's one I make myself with a chocolate bar, cream and milk on the hob. I only really make it at Christmas time as it's very indulgent but soooo creamy and yummy! Sometimes I top it off with some mini marshmallows and grated chocolate. Last year at my annual dinner party I made some mulled cider and that was also really lovely. I don't like mulled wine as weirdly i'll happily drink a glass of red wine, but as soon as it's heated up for mulled wine or in a sauce or something I can't stand the taste! Strange. Ordinarily I can't drink cider either when it's cold, but I did enjoy the mulled cider and it made the place smell lovely.0 -

pinknfluffy28- What about a photo snowglobe, they have them in poundland. Really easy, you just insert the photo or could even put a drawing in there.
RE One Direction stuff (sorry cant remember who asked) Claies Accessories had lots of stuff but probably quite pricey. Poundland has lots of stationery items as does Home Bargains. I got DS a stationery set for his stocking. Also bought him the album for £.97 from asda.
picnmix-Aw the home made nativity sounds lovely, will definitely make one with DS this year! I havent got a working printer so maybe i can cut pictures of another nativity in a catalogue hehe.
Damzel_In_Distress-Your poor DS having psoriasis, hope it stays away for good! Ive had it head to toe since I was 7 and am now 24.The bubble bath bottle will be fab decorated by hand, made with love! I had a bit of a xmas pyjama breakthrough today! :j Tesco had pyjamas with checked bottoms and a top with a reindeer silhouette on it! It could be a moose but Im saying reindeer. :rotfl: They were £7 and DS says its a reindeer so at least I have some sort of xmassy pyjamas lol! They also had a blue onesie with snowflakes all over it for £8! No good for me as it was fleece but Ill put pics of both up later so you can see them.
Im still on the really christmassy pyjama hunt.
Well my rebuying of the Primark jumpers etc didnt go quite to plan as they didnt have OH' size in stock anymore and the plain red pyjama vest top I wanted to go with my pyjama bottoms was nowhere to be seen! (a whole rail there on tuesday!) Also one of the tops I wanted to get OH was OOS in his size and when I got home realised Id picked up a design he already had instead of the other one Id wanted! Add that to Tesco being downright rubbish and not having DS' size coat or my size in any boots (H&M boots that i ordered a while ago are too tight grr) and I was very stressed at the end of our shopping trip! Not feeling very well today so everything irritated me.
On a brighter note I DID get my jumper, DS' two jumpers, the reindeer throw, 2 x xmas pyjama bottoms for me from Primark and reindeer socks from Tesco.(£1 each or 2 for £1.50 with the normal socks) Also got some lovely stuff from Card Factory. I must admit I usually bypass it as the queues are huge but I popped in today and their stuff this year is lovely! They have picture advent calendars for 49p!! :j The babys first christmas stuff is gorgeous! I got my nephew a comforter for £1.99 and they had hanging photo frame decorations £1.99, snowglobes £2.99, booties £1.99, gift bags 99p-£1.99, a gorgeous teddy bear £1.99 and a few other things I cant remember! Also got a sign that says 'This house believes in Santa' for 99p, LED snowman 99p, money envelope 29p, 3 sets of envelope seals 29p and a gorgeous cuddly gingerbread man 99p for the christmas eve basket. They had lots of different cuddly toys for 99p each. All the pens/notepads etc by the tills are great stocking fillers!

I hope she is too! and hope the new mums are getting on well and getting some sleep!
re Christmas candles, Ive always loved the Festive Spice (the red ones) that Sainsburys do every Christmas, but this year they've got a new one I noticed, I think its called Christmas Tree, but either way its green and smells just like them! very well priced too, the big pillar candle is £4 and the huge multi wick one £8, they do smell lovely and past experience tells me they last ages and do make the room smell great, if anyone was wondering about them!0 -
we have a Card Factory here as well, had a quick glance the other day and saw everything was very competitively priced, must pop back in when I pick up my M&S orders from store!0

Hiya guys!
I have been naughty not popping on here! However I am slowely getting more things for Xmas.
My brothers stocking is almost done he has
Lynx shower gel
Book
Gillete razor
Vaseline mens deoderant
dvd
He just needs a selection box , jelly beans and a novelty type gift then he is done!
He also has a few "under the tree presents" Including boxers , t shirt , dvds , alcohol.
My mum is going to be the hardest as I need to find a lot of money for her gift and being on the sick with debt behind you is not great! However when there is a will there is a way!
Also half done 2 aunties! Still loads to buy!
Also feeling a bet disheartened we thought my auntie/uncle were spending Xmas with us but turns out they are not so it will be my first Xmas in my entire life with no dad or other family as a distraction! But it just makes me want to make this Xmas even more special!NanMias - cyber granddaughter!
