Yesterday bought some festive Pyjama bottoms and there were the wrong size, managed to get them changed at the till... however I was caught out on the slippers as when I got them home it turned out they had tagged a size 3-4 and 5-6 together. Not good.
Agree wholeheartedly here. I bought DD some Christmas pj's last year for this Christmas and (recently) discovered they were 4-5 years top (correct size) and only 3-4 years bottoms tagged together. DD is quite diddy so probably won't be a problem but annoyed as you tend not to double check when they are attached to each other so be careful.
Picked up my Boots order of 75% off goodies. Loved the little dalek bubble bath jellies which weren't reduced but are on 3 for 2.
Got Boots and Asda Christmas catalogues today so look forward to browsing them. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

Judging from the synopsis on the site, I think that one might be on this Saturday (if you have True Movies).
It's called Christmas in Connecticut. On at 7pm.
http://www.truemovies.tv/tvguide/index.aspx?cID=1&selDay=2
Could be the wrong film though! Just sounded a bit similar.
YES! You're a star, thank you.
I don't have True Movies... Or a TV for that matter, but I've just seen a bit on YouTube and now I'm off to find the DVD.
The film looks a bit kitsch now... Perfect afternoon viewing
Thank you again xx0 -

Use by is 2014 some time, I used it last year to covr the cake we made, this year DS is going to use it for decorating yule logs
Thanks for the heads up about the Christmas book, at least £5.99 everywhere else. Went and got one for my mum for her Christmas Eve treat bag! :TEvery sixty seconds you spend angry, upset or mad, is a full minute of happiness you'll never get back..:p

I've been dipping in and out of this thread for a while now, as a lurker, and thought it was about time I said hi!
It's lovely to read about the festive fun and frolics of like-minded people. I've always been crazy about Christmas and believe it's never too early to make plans or indulge in all things Christmas. I even used to have a Christmas-related job which involved getting all Christmassy every day of the year!
I've inherited my love of the festive season from my Mum. Growing up it was a huge deal in our house and some of my earliest memories are of making felt and gingerbread tree decorations with her favourite Christmas LP playing. On trips to the States Mum would take empty suitcases to bring back tons of Christmas decs, goodies and craft materials. Since she passed away I've found sharing her love of Christmas is a way of staying close to her and keeping cherished memories alive.
Anyway in the last few days I've snapped up lots of bargains....
Thanks to those who've mentioned the Primark jumpers. I bought the Rudolph one and never thought it'd be a look I could pull off but I love it so sho cares?!!
Also picked up in Primark:
Red & white nordic table runner (£3)
Cute Rudolph wash mit (£1)
The sweetest little mini hand-warmer with knitted cover and Bambi style reindeer motif (£1.50)
Christmas themed tea towels (£1.20)
...and blankets, as my guinea pigs claimed the Christmas fleeces I bought last year!!!
Very impressed with Wilkos' festive offering this year, especially the grosgrain type red & white ribbons (£1 for 3m). They also have a nice roll of red & white self-adhesive gift labels with reindeer and snowflake designs (£1 for 100pk) - you get lots more than the Poundland roll of sticky labels and I think they're much nicer.
Got nice Christmas tissue paper in The Works - pk of 10 sheets 99p or 3pks for £1.98 on 3 for 2. Will use to line cello wrap for wrapping gifts, tied with raffia.
Dunelm Mill have lovely Christmas door mats £5.99 - rubber-backed coir with lots of different printed designs. Picked up red ric-rac trim (39p per metre) for a craft project....not sure what yet but couldn't resist!
And finally, for anyone who loves East of India products, John Lewis do the little rubber stamps at great prices - cheaper than I found elsewhere. I bought the Christmassy ones in store and will use to make cards & labels. Be quick though as they seem to be selling out fast.
Sorry for the long post and any duplication but it's easy to get carried away when it comes to all this jingly stuff!0 -

autumngirl - I got the rudolph wash mitt from primark too. It's brill for £1 and will look great in xmas eve hampers. Just need to find some xmas related bath products now for ds and his xmas eve hamper will be done! .... Well i say that, but no doubt ill see other bits in the coming months !
With people mentioning tissue paper, I forgot the mention the other day that Home Bargains have packs of 12 sheets for 59p a pack. There were two different packs in mine. A red and white theme pack and a red and green theme pack. Some sheets are plain, others have patterns on them.
They're fairly thick as well and 59p is the cheapest I've ever seen tissue paper of this quality . HTH someoneHaving a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -

Also just wanted to recommend these boots for any ladies planning on buying some ugg style boots - they're so expensive so I'm really glad I found these. Come in a couple of different colours and they have the solid sole so they wont wear down :j but do remember to spray them with protector against the rain. (Enter amazonuk web address and follow on with this.....) /gp/product/B005GTO5QK/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
Thanks juniper_berry, those boots are lovely, really tempted to buy myself a pairBUT Christmas is only 9 weeks away, so really shouldn't be buying myself anything!!
