it's Sarah Morgan, Once Upon a Christmas, got it for £3.49 in S'bury yesterday. Looks promising so far ... though the first bit her daughter mentions writing to Santa early November and she tells her its far too early ....:rotfl:

This was last nights post that it wouldn't let me post!

Evening Elves (that's what we all are really :))

I've caught up whilst sipping a choca mocha in my Christmas cup .

    Today I've been shopping :)

In Primark they have the ladies Christmas jumpers but not the santa one. They didn't have much in the way of Christmas home stuff. A women infront of be was buying a load of onesies for her Grandchildren as that's what they've all asked for!

Did quite well on the present front today. Got my Brother some Star Wars lounge trousers £12 and a Star Wars wallet £7, also a few stocking fillers.
Got my Dr who crazy friend as Dr who mug. Bought my cousin a chiffon printed blouse with sausage dogs on :) Got FIL 2 books - a hornby one and a steam train one. Got loads of various sweets including a big white toblerone and 2 packs of mini Thorntons from Poundland.

Finally I got myself (I tend to buy the little things I want and hubby buys me main pressy and a few suprises) 2 scottie shaped tins of biscuits from Sainsburys £5 each - the black one and a white one, a dog print burgandy scarf £8 and an aroma home microwavable heatie with scottie dogs all over for a bargain £12.99 from TKMaxx. Should be £30! I'm a little dog mad :):):)

Got a nativity scene too, we've wanted one for ages but just never got round to getting one. I saw it in TKMaxx, £10 made out of olive wood and made in Bethlehem. It is a minature version of the one my Nan used to have when we were kids :) I nearly cried when I saw it - it has so many nice memories attached to it, I just had to buy it :)

Hubby's gone out to a mini stag do so I bought some Christmas mags and I'm going to settle down with them :)

I've been eyeing up vodka today but I think I'm going to leave that for next year.

I also need ideas for a day out but up north.

have done something christmas eve last few years with sis and her family but struggling a bit at what to do this year.

Planning on goin to see santa at beamish weekend before christmas as ticket from last year will still be valid then so didnt really want to visit the big guy again. Priced pantomime but thats gonna work out about £18 each and theres 9 of us so didnt really want to spend that much especially as probs only 2 days after beamish.

    Any suggestions fellow northerners?

Went to primark today & they seem to be getting lots of new stuff in, had absolutley loads of gorgeous pj's got some for myself with farisle fleece bottoms and red long sleeved top, got hubby some blue fleece bottoms with stars on (which he'll probs hate, not really a pj type bloke) and a mr christmas t shirt for xmas eve hamper.
Got dd's a mini unicorn pillowpet £2.50each (they got the big ones last year) and got red table cloth & white runner with red snowflakes and reindeer on, not actually at home for dinner but can still make the table xmassy.:snow_laug

Have you checked the prices at the Gala in Durham? They're doing Sleeping Beauty & it says the tickets are from £6.50.
  • re One Direction - LOTS of themed stuff around in the supermarkets and various places, mugs, chocolates, pens, calenders, advents etc

*coughs* ... I happened to notice on Amazon that there is loads of One Direction themed stuff .. when I *cough* bought their cd for the car ... and yes I got lots of stick from the kids but what the hell, I love a bit of cheesy boyband catchy pop and they are good!

I wasnt looking for a 1D mugs honest ... it brings up 'other stuff you might like' if you click on the cd!
  • Which TV is that, is it on the website?

    Hitachi 26" I paid £199 it's now down to £179!

Hope you don't mind me just popping in and answering your query. I got my children to make these personalised jars for my children's grandparents present last year:

Mrs Drink - that mistletoe ball looks exactly what I'm looking for as I'm going to add other bits to it to make it look posher! I think I'll get it on ebay though unless there are other things on that site I fancy to justify the postage (ebay total price is about the same!)

MrsGigglewick - Those Elf passports are great!

PinknFluffy - Royal Mail annoy me  I've had a card through my door plenty of times and I've been in! I once got the card, went out to shout to the postman I was there but he never had the parcel. They are totally at it, just so they don't have to carry a parcel with them. I now get most of my parcels sent to my work or my mums so I don't have to trail to the sorting office!

My lovely cousin is coming to stay for the weekend in November as it's my birthday (30!) and she is like me crafty and loves a good rake around the poundshops etc! She doesn't have B&M and Homebargains, she's going to love them! I'm also going to go to Dunelm Mill for the first time and Wilkinsons. Can someone tell me if that is the same as Wilkos I've heard mentioned?!
