Ailsb I once had a stroppy 14 yr old too ( he's 29 now and living in Australia ) How about the usual smellies, lynx etc or next do a nice range too of aftershaves at a good price? iTunes voucher? Blank CDs ( for making his own playlist)? Posters/calanders? Nice stationary? Where's Wally book( he'll think he's too big but will love it)? Balloon modelling kit ( became a tradition in my DS stocking) juggling balls - am I getting silly?

Sugarspun families :( you can't choose them unfortunately. Think we've all know family like that. Well done your hubby:) ( at long last)
    Happy ebaying!

Firsttimemummy what a really kind offer. We definitely spread Christmas cheer on this thread:) I love it. It daily raises my spirits :)

BBTHREE you ok? Have you and Lunar both now disappeared? Do I need to worry?

Damsel wow well done you. You did so well on your bargains today that loads done. And can I just say please PM me you inspired me today to search out some stamps that I won in 2008, I used them today posting a DVD to my VVGDG in Australia therefore saving myself stamps- therefore money neutral and as you can see

That is so thoughtful and lovely. I will PM you in a second. Hopefully I'll be able to return the favour one day. I'll make sure to tell santa to put you on his 'Nice list' :D. I am so grateful for your kindness I actually don't really know what to say, but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate it :).

Just so everyone knows, MSE won't let me thank some posts. I'm not sure why, It's letting me do it on some, but not on others . So just wanted to let people know I'm not being a Scrooge! I do appreciate what you all post, Its just that MSE doesn't want me to appreciate it today lol!

I'm incredibly tired, I think I may be coming down with a cold or the flu or something, and on top of all the medication i take which already makes me tired, I feel like I've been drugged up with sleeping pills then ran over by a transformer sized truck! :(

I've absolutely fell in love with these on dotcomgift shop! If the postage wasn't as high or there was a free postage code around (which there has been in the past) I would definitely be buying them. But as usual, by the time a code appears the sale items jump back up to full price!

    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona
  • morning! just off to catch up but in meantime;

Glade Spiced Apple and Cinnamon (I think?) candles half price in S'bury, £2 each

No Boots Christmas catalogue in our local still! didnt bother asking after the looks I got last time!

In Next they have some lovely Christmas tealight holders, they are square cut very chunky glass with gold reindeers and christmas trees, for £3, I wondered if they would be good for people doing pots of gold? but either way very pretty and look waaaay more expensive than £3! they also have some of their Christmas and tree decs in store near me.

I got my throws, thank you to all who helped with the details, I love them!!
  • Ps S'bury have 2 Christmas mags, the Good Housekeeping and Your Best Ever Christmas (I think it's called that, will double check) both just under £4 though! pricey but I got one of them, couldnt help myself!

they also have boxes (like the big tubs) of Foxes biscuits for 2.50 reduced from £5 if anyone is after any

My husband has just realised that his brother has not sent our daughter a birthday or a Christmas gift since her first Christmas and has decided to cut our nephews off.

I've already bought their gifts but am more than happy to ebay them :money: Especially since those two boys have a €100 budget between them.

Edit: this brother has also not once acknowledged the gifts we have sent his kids for the last three years, his kids have not said thank you and the brother himself has not bothered to contact my husband even when I let him know that the doctors had said there was an 85% chance he would die within 48 hours. Thankfully he didn't, but the brother decided not to bother even calling. So I think we have tried long enough to maintain a relationship and will not be bothering from now on.

My dad does this with his youngest 3 children last year I spent about £35 each on them && I didn't even recive a Xmas card & I never see the children they are 5,3,1!! I've seen the 1 year old twice so this year I'm not bothering as it was my 21st in feb && I never even recived a text!! I stopped speaking to my dad for about 5 years but started again when I was 16 && in the past 5 years its always me who has to contact him first etc I wasnt even allowed to visit him in hospital when he tried to kill himself in may!! He bothers with my bf but not really me so I'm just not bothering anymore the way I see it is I have my dad in my stepdad who has brought me up since I was 11 and I've never needed my dad for anything do I don't need him now!! He also has another daughter who is 13 who I see a lot of as she lives close to me so I stick some money in a card for her!! Sorry think I just needed to get that off my chest!!

On another note I'm at the jobcenter again today so I can run into bits and get the Xmas book :)

It's always hard with this kind of thing but you have to put yourself first, it's no good shelling money out if you don't get som much as a thank you! Manners don't cost anythng. Also kaykandy, sorry to hear things are difficult for you too but you also need to put yourself first and look after yourself. Happy very belated 21st! Mine seems like such a long time ago... :o

Oh no, I hope you don't get too ill! Keep warm and drink plenty of fluids - my mums advice she always gives me! :)

Ok, I need a serious non christmas rant! I am so upset (blaming the pregnancy hormones!!!) I may have mentioned that we were meant to be having building work starting next Monday (rented property). The whole of the outer kitchen wall was coming down (I know brrrr!) and being rebuilt. Well my landlord who is on holiday text me about half hour ago saying that its not going to start next week and she will contact me tomorrow when she sorts stuff out.

I mean I am bl00dy 6 weeks away from my due date and I dont need this stress (told you I was ranting!) I can obviously see that the work needs doing however this has been going on since beginning of july, it took two months for the builders to give landlord a quote (shes using a family friend as shes getting a discount ) I wish I knew how much the discount was and would give it to her myself to have it done sooner.

Ok I'm gonna breath now! And sorry for interrupting the festivities I am just on my own until last this eve and have no one else to talk/type to :rotfl:

Oh and I completely appreciate this is nothing compared to the people who have lost their loved ones, have anniversaries coming up or recoveries etc. I just needed to get it off my huge belly! x
Spreading a little Christmas joy all year round :santa2:
