  • Making a trip down to Cardiff tomorrow so I'm hoping that Primark has the lovely throw someone posted a picture of on here :) I love reading this thread because who doesn't love all things Christmas :D

Oh will you let us know if they are any there and what other christmas bits they got, I plan to pop there next week before we go away towards the end of next week,

Sorry not been posting much as in the middle are giving the house a good autumn clean ( sorry spring as gone) ha ha before hubby is back on the weekend and I got welcome home bunting, banners and ballons to put up aswell as cupcakes to bake oh and not forgetting to fill the beer fridge up too. So all I need is a brush up my bum and I should be able to brush the floor too.

Went into town on Tuesday and picked more things for our christmas food shop that will keep plus some more boxed chocs, Also picked up 2 packs of scooby figures one with the monsters and the others with the Scooby gang, was 10 all together, same pack on toys r us is reduced from 30 quid to 19.99 and I got it for 12 quid from b&m, really need to go to a bigger one which a trip to Cardiff is definitely planned next week

I also ordered to pick up the Santa is coming to welsh valleys book in wh smith, thank you to who posted about the cheaper price there . Plus my elf on the shelf girl as finally arrived. Got to pre order the elf on the shelf DVD on Hmv so shoud receive that shorty after the 12 th November, I am getting there but till my hubby is back can't really let the full christmas cheer take over.

Woo just got my e mail from Mr T saying Bluebell Cottage back in stock. So ordered that for my sister - she's not into mse web site yet but am trying to persuade her and like to bag her a bargain too if I see them. She has 3 young girls and life gets just a bit too hectic. Anyway I see 1 very happy little girl on Xmas morning.
Very chilly here this morning, have had to put heating on for an hour brrr.
I may have to visit Dunelm Mill at week end to get the fleeces and Christmas towels, shall I take orders??!:)

  • littlemisschatabox and msgigglewick - sorry to hear about your broken appliances! These things never happen at a good time do they?!

Always after a bargain - you're homecoming celebration sounds wonderful, very thoughtful and i'm sure it will be just what your husband will love to come home to! Then when he's back you can fully immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit - i'm happy for you. :T

I would also like to offer my condolences to the losses some of you have suffered, it is the most awful time but you are showing admirable strength. As others have said before me don't worry about venting on here, we are all here to help and hopefully get you through it a bit easier. :grouphug:
  • It was all foggy and cold here this morning, I loved it! Sorry to those of you who don't like the cold weather but I seem to prefer it. It's now getting to cosy evening time and I feel I can completely, fully 100% feel Christmassy! Although I haven't had chance to do anything since getting back from holiday, I couldn't even pick the Boots catalogue up yesterday so will have to try again today!

It's funny because I feel like i've been planning for ages but now I feel like i'm running out of time! :rotfl:

My husband has just realised that his brother has not sent our daughter a birthday or a Christmas gift since her first Christmas and has decided to cut our nephews off.

I've already bought their gifts but am more than happy to ebay them :money: Especially since those two boys have a €100 budget between them.

Edit: this brother has also not once acknowledged the gifts we have sent his kids for the last three years, his kids have not said thank you and the brother himself has not bothered to contact my husband even when I let him know that the doctors had said there was an 85% chance he would die within 48 hours. Thankfully he didn't, but the brother decided not to bother even calling. So I think we have tried long enough to maintain a relationship and will not be bothering from now on.

I was just thinking the opposite. It gave me time to look for gifts for my niece and nephew, without worrying about how many pages I was going to have to catch up on.:rotfl:

I had just pressed last page after reading 4 pages when it went down.
I also had a nap as I am still not feeling all that great.
    Anyway back to their gifts.

I usually give them all £10, but as you all know I got the older 2 girls Paul Frank bags and Lip Smackers.
So I can't really give the 2 little ones money.

I have found these at Argos
Could you please have a look and give your opinion. My 2 are 15 and 19, and I really have no idea what I am doing:rotfl:

DD2 was 4 yesterday and this would be fine for your Niece. She will play pretend with the phone but it teaches as well - and VTECH are good hard weraring, long lasting toys. HTH x

  • Bought the Ideal Home Christmas magazine today and will have a good read tonight to get some inspiration on doing my house up. I'm hoping to make my own Wreath for my front door - lots of Ivy and stuff in my garden - we live next to a forest!!!
