Just received boots christmas vouchers in the post.. the boots advantage card ones. Double points, 250 extra points when u spend 25 pounds, 350 extra with 35 pounds, £2 off mascara or lipstick etc.. all adds up.. So no buying until you receive your vouchers!! :)

Hi,I'm interested in what your saying about offers by post. I've never had anythign like that from Boots. I did check that they have the correct address which they do. Is it a bit like the coupons that come from Mr T?

    Hi
Just thought I would pass on my idea today for Christmas dinner table games. I have an 8 year old daughter and 3 year old twins and they love playing games after dinner. We play things like going round the table naming as many mr men as we can in turns, animals in modes of transport eg hamster in a helicopter and memory with a napkin and whatever's on the table.

Today I just started a new one and I think it would make a great game after Christmas dinner. I asked my daughter to name me three natural things which are blue, then in turn asked my boys to name two things smaller than their hand and the other two things bigger than a tree. I then asked my husband to name five European cities. (My daughter thought this was funny as she whispered them to him!)

I am going to make a jar and in it put slips of paper with various questions they can answer. You could do the kids questions in blue and adults red or as many colours as you need. Then take it in turns to pick and answer. The idea is not too make them too hard if they can't answer they don't get to keep the slip and the winner the person with the most slips of paper.

    Hope that makes sense x

We live near to Gunwharf Quays outlet shops but not been there for years so I think that might be on my shopping spree too

ahh, i lived in part of the gunwharf complex for a couple of years when i was a student in portsmouth! surprisingly MSE :money: as my partner and i flat-shared with a friend, so a 2-bed between 3 students = bargain rent and no council tax. we were extremely lucky :o

it was wonderful, especially when the enormous christmas displays were up. and the temporary ice rink. and it snowed! ahh. so festive.

and now we're in a wee terrace with a toddler and a bump. lol. how things change. :rotfl:

(not that i mind at all - but is nice to reminisce!)

will go back to catching up with the thread now :p

I would be very interested if it is possible, I called Studio yesterday with exactly that question and was told I cannot buy unless it was on a credit account. Useless for me.

Eek! You've been a chatty bunch today :D How many pages to catch up on????? Been working on the factory floor all day so had no chance to catch up with you all whilst at work. Was hoping to go to bed soon, oh well, guess it's gonna be a late night :rotfl:

On Christmassy news, I've ordered 10 christmas dvds off the that's entertainment website. We had loads then one year they disappeared. I'm sure one of our sisters borrowed them, he thought they were hidden away in the lift... neither search was fruitful. SO I've ordered 10 dvds for just under £20 (all used - v good condition and free delivery)

Also sister has informed me what what one neice wants, some books so should be able to use some vouchers to buy them with :D

Off to catch up on the thread now x
  • Oh thank goodness those "technical issues" are sorted, I was lost without my let it snow daily dose!
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.
