Well we have our christmas plans all sorted, we are going to book the Christmas steam train in the Brecon Beacons , Plus we are going to see Chico in the panto Cinderella in Swansea. I have a bit of a crush on him ( will make the panto time more enjoyable ha ha) along with the Christmas markets too. Off into town tommorow to pick up some bits. Going to put a order in to for some Christmas Yankee candles. I am starting to feel some Christmas cheer but at the moment busy with making bunting and welcome home banners for hubby for when he returns from Afghanistan on the weekend. We are away next week so have to get the activities booked by end of the week and buy some Christmas paper to make a start on wrapping what I do have here as my kids have already started to snoop!'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0 -

This happened to me yesterday (or so I thought!) I visited our local Range and was surprised there was hardly any Christmas stuff out. As I was at check out I happened to glance upstairs and hadn't realised the whole of upstairs was dedicated to Christmas! Trouble is my daughter is in a wheelchair and their lift wasn't working gggrrrr
Aww that's terrible that they didn't have their lift working
I too did the 'oh there's beggar all Christmas stuff here' grump, then cast an eye upwards to see glittery heaven! And then couldn't go and look as we had to get back in time for something!
Colchester Range frustration.... can't we get vouchers for that or something :rotfl:
Hope you manage to get a peek there soon, I'll have to wait a week or so! x0 -
OMG. A few hours away and I need an hour to catch up.
Had a trip to Lakesdie last night, Ikea and Homesense both had Xmas depts in progress. Both opening Friday. I Can feel another visit coming on LOL.

Loved 12 days of Christmas by Tricia Ashley. Don't think I have seen it mentioned but also enjoyed The Xmas Factor bu Annie Saunders - definitely all about Christmas although the book starts in summer.0 -
Damzel_In_Distress wrote: »I have a dilemma. About 2 months ago i ordered the complete Mr men collection for DS from the book people. He's wanted it for ages as we only had a few and at £30 i didn't want to miss out because they often dont have it in stock for months at a time.
Anyway, after having literally the worst trouble of my life getting it delivered by Yodel, it finally arrived, 6 weeks later! Then during the past 2 weeks, 2 more sets have arrived.
I haven't been charged for them, I've rang the book people to see how they can be returned and have been told to 'keep them' for my 'trouble' . I asked the man if he was sure and he said to check the receipts in the boxex to see if they had charges on or not, and i said no they didnt, they both said £0.00 on the delivery order, and he said that they have been sent as a gesture of good will then to make sure i received my order after all the trouble i was having, so they were now mine to keep.
I'm not sure i feel right about it because they should cost £30 each, even more on other websites. What would other people do? Refuse to keep them and send them back? Or keep them and perhaps sell them on? I won't lie, I could really use the extra money as it would give me away to take DS out over christmas for a treat somewhere, such as the cinema etc. But i don't know....
In fact i wouldn't even know how or where to sell them if i did keep them?
*confused*
Not really xmas related i know, but Im puzzled about what to do.
They've given them to you for your inconveinience and trouble. They're yours to do with as you want. Personally sell them on yourself or give away as presents0 -
