On the subject of books, I know everyone loves 'The 12 Days' but I have just remembered 2 more that I love.

Christmas at Thrush Green by Miss Read.
( Very Christmassy and very funny. The Nativity Play cast come down with chickenpox in a very small village [think Midsomer without the murders])

A Redbird Christmas by Fannie Flagg.
(A man with only months to live, moves from Chicago, to a small town called Lost River, Alabama; where the townsfolk show him what living is)

    :xmastree:
  • ShonaM-Oh poor thing. :( I hope the school sort it out, he shouldn't have to put up with that!! It seems he has a lovely mummy though to make things better. =) Really hope the bullying is sorted, theres no excuse for it. xxx

Own My Own-Your DDs room sounds lovely, I love 1940s style. :D (and 1950s) Glad you managed to get 3 for 2 on the bags. :)

    Hi all,

I was thinking I would get Charity gifts this year (was thinking of the 'virtual type, but don't think my family would approve) - most charities have gift catalogues for Christmas, was wondering if anyone could recommend gooduns? Looking at Born Free, RSPCA, RSPB...so far so good
    Oxfams gifts look good. :)http://www.oxfam.org.uk/shop/oxfam-unwrapped

    DamzelInDistress-£20 sounds a good price. :T

katy1987-Im loving the disgusting weather too lol. :D Id be better if I had adequate footwear but I only have my very open flat shoes (my boots that I wore the other day are so worn inside it was like stepping on pins lol and my wellies split a while back) and soggy feet are not fun lol. Will have to get some boots when OH gets paid on the 19th then Ill be all wrapped up and totally happy with the disgusting weather. :D When is your baby due? x

littlemschattabox-Yay on getting your BFs main pressie. :T My OHs will have to be a last minute if i can afford it job like last year lol, its waiting in my amazon basket until then. :rotfl:

Jenny_Summers-We always open pressies here at home then go to ILS for a while then onto my mums, sometimes my nans too. Lots of visiting. :)

I received the Dr Who 11 figure set (that I ordered aaages ago!) today and its fab! DS will love it. :) Have just ordered the Twelve days of christmas book from Amazon. :) Also ordered the Twilight Journal book set, had a £10 amazon voucher so nothing to pay. :)

On Waterstones they have it for Ipswich - I just searched for Santa is coming to, and it showed all 40ish options. Sorry can't post links.

HA HA.... a christmas Tart burner is a Yankee Candle thing. Yankee sell 'Tarts' all year round and a range of burners but come christmas they sell christmas fragranced tarts (addictive scents) and a range of christmas themed tart buners. They are very cute and highly collectable. I havent got a christmas themed one but i do have a standard one. They are very expensive so i thought id rather get one that i can use all year round.

Yankee fans - What scent can you not wait to burn? Mine is Christmas Eve and Christmas Tree

I have Christmas Cupcake and Christmas Eve, can't wait!! Christmas Tree sounds nice, havent smelt that one! do you recommend it?
