    I've been Money Tipped!
was also going to suggest smelly sets!

ooh cant wait to get that christmas mag. i was looking for some in tescos today but there was none :( my mum and i both buy different xmas mags and pass them onto each other so we usually get to read all of them for half the cost, if that makes sense!

happened to find a toy that i bought ds from argos the other week (which was in the loft, no one has been in there and i cant understand how it has got back down. it was on top of the wardrobe aswell, somewhere i NEVER keep toys, due to prying eyes!) the receipt was safe in my purse so i returned it and re-bought along with 2 others. so i actually got the original one free :T it was £20 so happy with that :D

also going to pop to argos tomorrow too (payday!) to pick up another 3!

my trip today has left me with 1 gift left to buy DS1 (will get next week) and DS2 is done, so just DD to get! although i havent finished her list yet!
i do still need to complete the boys stockings and all kids xmas eve hampers though too! :o

but overall, im pleased so far!

i also picked up some glowstick swords and a wand for the xmas eve hampers for £1 each.

and i got a great book for xmas eve. its called 'santa is coming to hull' (hull being where we live!!) one the cover there is some of the hull landmarks (the stadium, the deep aqurium, the guildhall, college, statues and the lighthouse from nearby spurn point etc etc). book mentions areas, streets and parks of hull so i think the kids will ove this. and although it doesnt mention our exact area i reckon i could add it in when reading it to them and theyd be none the wiser! :rotfl::rotfl:
in the book, santa and the reindeer land in a park thats not too far from us, so i though after christmas we could have a day in the park 'trying to find' where they landed!
ie make dh run on ahead with a big stick to make sleigh tracks and some sort of hoof prints :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

it looks like the do adapted versions for allover the country (assuming from the pic of santas coming to cornwall on the back cover and other city/town stories ) and they have a website if anyone would like the name of the site let me know and i will get the book back out.

OMG, what an evening. Just to cut long story short. Tescos 45 minutes late, no apology. Bu**er up on tesco system meant half my stuff wasnt ordered. Cue put children in car to corner shop to get nappies as I had NONE!!!

Icing on cake. flicked to back of order paperwork to find stapled on, a list of 3 customers names, addresses and phone numbers in Milton Keynes. Hmm, great data protection.

Sent a strongly worded letter. We'll see what happens and no more online tesco orders which is a shame due to points but cant risk them giving details out to any old....

Anyway, on the chrimbo front Ive made a bit more wonga making hair bows for people all going into a little box for stocking fillers.

We always spend christmas at my Mums in Devon. DH's family are Jehovah Witness so dont celebrate and we have a tiny house whereas Mum has a bit old 4 bedroom so plenty of room so we go there and it wouldnt feel right not going there!!

    xxx
    Crikey!!

This letter needs to ask for an explanation and assurance that your continued custom with the wont result in your private details being shared with others? Oh and a glancing reference to a referral to the Information Commisioner if this isnt resolved to your satisfaction!!!

That should spur them into action:rotfl::rotfl:

I think it's like an oil burner but for candles!! I'd that helps

HA HA.... a christmas Tart burner is a Yankee Candle thing. Yankee sell 'Tarts' all year round and a range of burners but come christmas they sell christmas fragranced tarts (addictive scents) and a range of christmas themed tart buners. They are very cute and highly collectable. I havent got a christmas themed one but i do have a standard one. They are very expensive so i thought id rather get one that i can use all year round.

Yankee fans - What scent can you not wait to burn? Mine is Christmas Eve and Christmas Tree

With that sort of budget, you could easily get them all a dvd each? They're dirt cheap in places like tesco at the moment. Loads of them are under £3! You could even get two, with a big bag of popcorn in the middle, wrap in cellophane and have a very mini type dvd 'hamper' . Easily do-able on a £7 budget :)

good idea! although i wouldnt have a clue what they would like to watch!!

:santa2::santa2: Hello again Christmas nutters :rotfl:

Well have sorted a few bits last week and this weekend.

I bought an orla kiely scarf for sil, Elemis gift set for 8.99 for sil
    and these
    http://www.yankee.co.uk/yankee-candles/3110/10_festive_samplers_br_and_4_roly_polys.aspx?expandable=0

Candles and holders for teachers and classroom assistants. Then I will keep the spares either for me or last minute pressies!

Today I also emptied the wax from out my Christmas Yankee candle from last year that would no longer light. I put the wax in muffin tins and melted in the oven to make a dozen new wax tarts. My kitchen smelled of Christmas cupcakes.....yum!!! I have wrapped these in cling film, and keep them in the now clean Yankee jar ready to burn in my Christmassy tart burner at Chrimbo ;)

Am a bit of a Yankee addict tbh!!! But it is an expensive hobby!

can someone tell me if the choc coins in Wilkos are Cadburys???? Ds has a nut allergy and can only eat these!!!! Thanks

I hope you are a parent at my school haha!!

    Snugglebunny whoop to the monopoly!!
