My goodness soo many pages to catch up on!!

Really pleased today as I managed to get quite a bit of my Xmas pressies - got £50 of stuff from toysrus for £30 delivered, and took advantage of Argos 3for2 (went cuts with a friend!) and got £85 worth for £50!

Big thanks also to onmyown as I wouldn't have noticed the Paul frank bags at Claire's had it not been for you - my daughter loves pf and the bag is lovely so a great bargain thank you (even though I had to go to a couple of stores to find one in stock lol) also got a few other bits in there.

    Feeling more organised now :-)

  • That magazine looks fab!Don't think I could justify £3.99 on it though :(
I love looking through christmas magazines and shopping books. The christmas edition of one of the home magazines is usually quite nice, can't remember the name but it's only £1.99.

When i was little, i remember getting all the supermarket, boots etc type christmas books and collecting them in my room, then spending hours circling things and writing lists of what i would like to buy people with my parents money :D

is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

OMG, what an evening. Just to cut long story short. Tescos 45 minutes late, no apology. Bu**er up on tesco system meant half my stuff wasnt ordered. Cue put children in car to corner shop to get nappies as I had NONE!!!

Icing on cake. flicked to back of order paperwork to find stapled on, a list of 3 customers names, addresses and phone numbers in Milton Keynes. Hmm, great data protection.

Sent a strongly worded letter. We'll see what happens and no more online tesco orders which is a shame due to points but cant risk them giving details out to any old....

Anyway, on the chrimbo front Ive made a bit more wonga making hair bows for people all going into a little box for stocking fillers.

We always spend christmas at my Mums in Devon. DH's family are Jehovah Witness so dont celebrate and we have a tiny house whereas Mum has a bit old 4 bedroom so plenty of room so we go there and it wouldnt feel right not going there!!

When my niece was younger she sat with me looking at a christmas catalogue (Can't remember which one).
I asked what she wanted out of the book from me for Christmas.
She pointed to every item in the book separately and said ' I want that one' in her best Little Britain voice.
We were laughing so much, that when my sister came in we couldn't speak to tell her what was so funny.

Blimey, massive Tesco fail. Hope you get an apology. (And maybe some vouchers!)

We're going to my parents this year, as they always have my grandma who couldn't travel to us. We alternate years so that my sis and I are there at the same time. Last year we were at PILs so this year my parents.
I have never cooked xmas dinner! DH's family couldn't really fit in our house although maybe we'll manage it one year.

Thought I would share with all my fellow Christmas fans.... My 5 year old daughter has a little girl in her class called Santa! So we talk about Santa through the year.

Morrisons do 3 for £10 gifts sets . They have Addidas sets, Linx sets and David Beckham. The Linx sets are very good value for £3.33.

With that sort of budget, you could easily get them all a dvd each? They're dirt cheap in places like tesco at the moment. Loads of them are under £3! You could even get two, with a big bag of popcorn in the middle, wrap in cellophane and have a very mini type dvd 'hamper' . Easily do-able on a £7 budget :)
