I would cover everything in fairy lights if I could! Even the family.
I'm always on the look out for 'warm white' lights. I often buy the bright white ones by mistake, and they hurt my eyes. There's nothing Christmassy about squinting!:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -

Anyway, after having literally the worst trouble of my life getting it delivered by Yodel, it finally arrived, 6 weeks later! Then during the past 2 weeks, 2 more sets have arrived.
I haven't been charged for them, I've rang the book people to see how they can be returned and have been told to 'keep them' for my 'trouble' . I asked the man if he was sure and he said to check the receipts in the boxex to see if they had charges on or not, and i said no they didnt, they both said £0.00 on the delivery order, and he said that they have been sent as a gesture of good will then to make sure i received my order after all the trouble i was having, so they were now mine to keep.
I'm not sure i feel right about it because they should cost £30 each, even more on other websites. What would other people do? Refuse to keep them and send them back? Or keep them and perhaps sell them on? I won't lie, I could really use the extra money as it would give me away to take DS out over christmas for a treat somewhere, such as the cinema etc. But i don't know....
In fact i wouldn't even know how or where to sell them if i did keep them?
*confused*
Not really xmas related i know, but Im puzzled about what to do.
If you've contacted them and they've said to keep them, then keep them. Maybe it's not cost efficient to pay for you to return them. A box set nay have cost you £30 but they'll have bought them for much less to sell on at a profit. See it as a reward for your honesty.
As for selling them maybe try faceb00k selling pages or even ebay (not sure how much postage would be) Does anyone you know sell things this way? They might sell them on your behalf0 -
Whoop, another 25 quid made and the huge box of material left over from our wedding will be gone 2m which is handy as its been in the space where0

Pressed too soon!
Where the tree goes that should say! Xxx0 -
aww thanks! its been a long few weeks. We thought it was back to school nerves playing up and the fact he was in all day. The teacher is keeping an eye on him and more importantly the other kid. Im hoping he will either stop or get moved from the school. I would approach his mam but she looks like she could throw a good punch lol
awww I really fancy a fur throw and some cushions to go with it now! lol Im putting the car holder along the window and putting tea lights amongst it with some twigs etc. I think the fur tree will go in our smaller window in the living room. Im getting really excited at the min. OH has 2 weeks winter holiday off mid october so going to get the rest of the decorating and things sorted then. 85 days!!!!:T
am getting excited too, I just tried on my Rudolph Slipper boots... DS laughed
glad the school are on to it - when one issue carried on regardless with a horrible girl at juniors, and it got really bad, I went up to her after school in the playground (en loco parentis) and very very quietly gave it to her with both barrels, a la Julia Roberts from Stepmother but without the bad language and the threat of homicide!:D:D it did actually work
school would be fab it it wasnt for everyone elses children wouldnt it?? :rotfl:0 -

they are so pretty, Im a sucker for multicoloured ones that twinkle, though the new set I got last year had one 'chasing' mode that would induce a migraine, literally 'WHERE IS THE OFF SWITCH!!'
I'm still chuckling about your 'tinsel the *** out of every room' comment yesterday!!:rotfl: classic! in my case it would be 'twinkle the *** out of it'! :rotfl::T:beer:0 -
havent seen the faux fur Next tree in the flesh (or fur) as they didnt have any in our store, so ordered it, but judging by my tape measure its actually a pretty good size? 40cm high, will be lovely on table, mantelpiece or windowsill0

Awww thanks hun, He is only 4 and is getting bullied by a another child. Other child is disabled (problem with his leg)and his mother seems to have forgot how to teach him right from wrong. DS who is a nervous quiet child got punched in the face last week and has been getting hit and punched by him for a few weeks. Don't blame the bully child as he has learnt of his mam who I know is being watched by social services for hitting him. Its had a huge impact on DS who is now hitting, punching and being very disruptive at home. He's been getting up at 4am everyday and causing mayhem....oh the joys lol x
I hope things improve soon. Unfortunately that kind of behaviour is learned and you're right not to blame the other child but hopefully school will teach him right from wrong (his mum clearly hasn't:()aww thanks! its been a long few weeks. I managed to go to the range and buy just what I needed. :DHowever DH took me at lunchtime knowing I wouldn't have time to browse:mad: looked like they had a lot of christmas trees and decs on display0 -
Not sure if anyone else does this or its just me,,,we normally put the tree up on the 1st of december (This year its the sunday the 2nd as DS is out on the saturday). We normally put the tree and dec up and then watch an xmas film with some nibbles. Last year I made a nice tea for us and got in the festive mood. This year we have the addition of an elf as well so we need to fit him in our day.

We do this too although we tend to put our decs up on the first weekend in December.
