  • Thanks noodles :)

I've said ill accept it, just waiting for their reply now.

Anyone looking for festive loo roll, wilkinsons did 'the snowman' themed toilet roll last year for £1.99 a pack of 4. I bought nothing but for the whole of december!
    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

:santa2::santa2: Hello again Christmas nutters :rotfl:

Candles and holders for teachers and classroom assistants. Then I will keep the spares either for me or last minute pressies!

Today I also emptied the wax from out my Christmas Yankee candle from last year that would no longer light. I put the wax in muffin tins and melted in the oven to make a dozen new wax tarts. My kitchen smelled of Christmas cupcakes.....yum!!! I have wrapped these in cling film, and keep them in the now clean Yankee jar ready to burn in my Christmassy tart burner at Chrimbo ;)

Am a bit of a Yankee addict tbh!!! But it is an expensive hobby!

I'm a fellow yankee addict but didn't even think to melt my large candle which no longer works and making smaller wax tarts! Think I will try this, thanks for the idea :D

What is a Christmassy TART BURNER ?

I keep seeing women of the night (dressed as Elves) tied to the stake like Guy Fawkes. :rotfl:
  • I love this thread, reading it has cheered me up. I've been sat for the last few hours trying to comfort my dd, she's particularly angry as she's just cut her first tooth. My poor hubby has been trying to help me out with her but all she wants to do is sit on my lap and chew on my boob :( (she's breastfed btw, I didn't spend the teething ring budget on Christmas pressies lol)

On the plus side I did manage to do a bit of Christmas shopping and get in a last minute bargain before the Argos 3 for 2 ends tomorrow, I only had one thing left to get so went in on a 3 for 2 with my mother who had 2 things she wanted to buy and we both saved a tenner :)

Hubby announced today that he's going to go mad on decorations this year, which made me very happy. The last few years we've taken my ds to my SILs for Christmas so haven't really decorated as much as we used to. The initial plan was to alternate, one Christmas at there's the next at ours but SIL always gets her own way and we end up having to go to theirs. This year hubby put his foot down and said we're having it at home because it's dd's first Christmas. SIL put her foot down too and said she wouldn't be attending. :j bonus! Christmas at home and no inlaws, best pressie I could have asked for, I will miss seeing my nephew open his presents though.

What are everyone elses plans? Staying at home? Visiting?

Cannot wait to decorate! Cannot forget the coke advert which starts getting played this month? Or am I getting to keen? xD

The coke advert is the green light for christmas in our house ( a rule dh invented when we first got together, and its stuck!) as soon as weve seen the advert were allowed to start being christmassy, singing carols, playing xmas songs, watching xmas films, and doing santa lists! I believ the first showing last year was Nov 11th, during xfactor, so we could have a few weeks yet
It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.

  • Hi folks,

    Christmas magazine ALERT :snow_grin

Will pick up a copy in the week as I had no spare change at lunch. It's called " Your Perfect Christmas " and looks to be a good substantial magazine.

I know how much some of you like the Xmas Magazines (as I do) so took a picture on my phone to show you what it looks like.

    Cost £3.99 @ WH SMITH
