Thanks for all your replies
Have decided I'm going to try and sell both sets and use the money for one to buy my local rspca some things off their wish list on amazon. I really appreciate what they do, especially since splitting from ds' dad, my beloved cat needed vet treatment i couldnt afford in the slightest and i was so grateful to be able to use their cheaper vets.
Now just the task of getting rid of them lol. I have posted on fb but not had any interest as of yet. Dont really fancy using ebay to be honest, they have fee's and i dont even really know how to use the selling side of it properly.
Maybe try gumtree? Pfft. I don't know. I never sell anything so i'm useless!Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona0 -
Cannot wait to decorate! Cannot forget the coke advert which starts getting played this month? Or am I getting to keen? xD0

Don't put up any decs until a week before the day. This year it will be the 15th/16th for us. Ds gets a bit grumpy with the change of ornaments. All of our ornaments are white, and all of our decs are white. I was hoping he wouldn't notice to much, but he does.
We only have a nativity tea light holder, a wreath, and a small tree in the lounge.
We have a homemade prelit bauble garland (purple) along the bay window in the kitchen, as it is at the front of the house, and I don't want to look like we have nothing. I also put some small decs on the windowsill around the plants.
We live in a small house, so it is enough really.:)0 -
:santa2::santa2: Hello again Christmas nutters :rotfl:
Well have sorted a few bits last week and this weekend.
I bought an orla kiely scarf for sil, Elemis gift set for 8.99 for sil
and these

Candles and holders for teachers and classroom assistants. Then I will keep the spares either for me or last minute pressies!
Today I also emptied the wax from out my Christmas Yankee candle from last year that would no longer light. I put the wax in muffin tins and melted in the oven to make a dozen new wax tarts. My kitchen smelled of Christmas cupcakes.....yum!!! I have wrapped these in cling film, and keep them in the now clean Yankee jar ready to burn in my Christmassy tart burner at Chrimbo
Am a bit of a Yankee addict tbh!!! But it is an expensive hobby!
can someone tell me if the choc coins in Wilkos are Cadburys???? Ds has a nut allergy and can only eat these!!!! Thanks0 -
In the middle of catching up on posts but just wanted to quickly write in excitment that I just won a bid on Ebay for the bfs main present whoop! Very pleased with myself0

I've had an offer on fb for £10 but i've said no. And just now another offer for £20, which i think it a good price?
Everyone talking about decorating is making me wriggle with temptation to go and decorate everywhere!! Haha!
I'm another one who DESPISES tinsel. I think it's utterly horrid and tackyBut each to their own etc etc.
I normally put everything up on december 1st. I like to enjoy a whole month of the festive feeling.
If i thought it were acceptable i'd probably put everything out earlier but im not bat crap crazy (not yet anyway) :rotfl:Having a coke with youis even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
